Sorry, i made a mistake in my post on a typo error. The total volume transacted yesterday was 4,597,100. So yesterday 19 Jan' s short selling volume is only a small amount at 438,700. Seems that large volumes of non-short selling nature were transacted yesterday. Maybe some people are getting out on this Trust or it could be short-term traders playing this counter.
Best is to check for any announcements whether the substantial shareholders are selling. If substantial shareholders are selling heavily and reducing their investment in the company, it may suggest something bad that could happen in future as substantial shareholders may have got wind of certain news about the company which retail investors like us cannot get inside information about a company so easily.

Hi Newbe2017, pls go to SGX homepage. Look under Market Information and then Marking of Sell Orders. You can find a list of daily short sell reports as well as a list of weekly short sell reports. Click on the date of the short sell report e.g. 19 Jan 2017 and you will open a list of all the short sell orders that have been executed on 19 Jan 2017. For yesterday 19 Jan 17, there is a short sell order executed for Asian Pay TV Trust of 438,700 units and the value of the short selling is $167,899.50.
Then you can go to any website e.g. Yahoo Finance for the price chart of Asian Pay TV Trust and look under yesterday' s 19 Jan 17 total trading volume. It was total of 459,100 units of Asian Pay TV Trust transacted yesterday. Based on the short selling report, one can easily see that yesterday' s most of the volume transacted were due to short selling as total short selling volume 438,700 already took up most of the total volume 459,100 transacted yesterday. So, my guess is that there are already one or many short sellers who have opened their short selling positions on this counter yesterday and the total reflected short selling volume executed are the ones which have sucessfully gone through.
If one tracks not only yesterday' s short selling on Asian Pay TV trust, but tracks short selling on this counter over a period of time e.g. one to three months, then one may start to see whether there is a short selling pressure on this counter or not. If there is continued high amount of short selling pressure, then there is great resistance to the movement of the price upwards as short sellers will want to continue the downward short selling trend to make their money.
Thus, an increased volume on downward price movement may not necessarily indicate that most investors are bailing out on Asian Pay TV Trust, but just that the short sellers are at their work if short selling volumes are continually high over a period of time.

Where do you find info of short interest ?
Am waiting for short-covering to happen in last half hour of trading if 38 is strongly supported
