IDA may not allow further extension past 30th June.
Only Keppel buying out Starhub, repackage it together with M1, relist IPO makes sense.
Starhub financials is not strong enough to buy M1.

I will be surprised if no decision is made before June but then again they might just use their joint venture company with M1 to renew the 700MHz spectrum and jointly used it like the 5G network.
Only 1.5 months to 30 June. Some hard decisions to be made bu M1 & Starhub.
Keppel... waiting for you to launch takeover offer
Was listening to the media briefing and seems there will be more impact on the cashflow in Q2 with the payment on the spectrum. Passive strategy that seems to be waiting for smaller competitors to exit the market.
StarHub Q1 profit falls 18.4% to S$31.8 million
Revenue declines 2.4% year on year to S$540.5 million, from S$553.9 million

[SINGAPORE] Telco StarHub on Friday (May 9) reported profit of S$31.8 million for the first quarter ended Mar 31, 2025, sliding 18.4 per cent from S$38.9 million in the corresponding year-ago period.

This was in tandem with lower earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation, as well as higher depreciation and amortisation. It was offset by a higher share of profits from joint ventures and associates, and lower tax expense. Revenue for the three months fell 2.4 per cent year on year (yoy) to S$540.5 million, from S$553.9 million.

The group&rsquo s regional enterprise business added 10.1 per cent yoy to S$146.5 million, from S$133 million. This was due to a 20.2 per cent growth in managed services, and backed by a strong order book.

Its broadband segment climbed 4.9 per cent yoy to S$64.4 million, from S$61.4 million, due to a sustained momentum of migration towards higher-bandwidth plans and the strength of its Infinity Play offering and bundling.
Sell off. To a bigger outfit that can share its resources with this company.

Too much has been communicated about how the Dare+ program is supposed to increase net profit and save cost but the results doesn't reflect it
Expected the results to be stagnant without much progressive strategy. It's the same pitch in the last 3 years and nothing exciting. Like I said, the results is not going to impact the share price much anymore.
It needs govt funds big time to upgrade its infrastructure. I suggest they become govt controlled. In Britain, many key companies were nationalised to save them

Both Singtel and Keppel have the financial ability to buy Starhub mobile.
Hoping that it is Keppel that makes the 1st move to buy over the mobile business. Keppel can then repackage M1 and Starhub to be listed as 1 telco

Two crucial dates for Starhub in 2025:
- Starhub has the assigned rights to Ensign until 4th October 2025, so if they want to unlock the value and plan to list Ensign, they will have to do so before that.
- Payment deadline for the 700MHz spectrum for both Starhub and M1 is due on June 2025, so another decision to be made soon if they do not plan to double the payment outlay and save cost.

shld be trading at least half of singtel price. UNDERVALUED
Results no longer has any effect on their share price. Only news of merger or spin off of Ensign will push the price upwards.
look like starhub will continue to be a pool of stagnant water. 1.20 is a strong resistance.

Starhub needs to complete Dare project by now and show that profit is going up. Profit guidance is important to drive share price higher.
Q1 business and performance update on 9th May, Friday. Let's see if there will be any interesting updates from the management team.
Yes. Singtel is a better choice
