Gallant buys 52% stake in Indomobil from DB reports

 

Gallant Venture has ceased to be an associate, as SCI did not subscribe to the former’s rights issue.

SCI’s stake has dropped from 23.9% to 12%. Maybank KE has tipped a possibility that SCI may eventually seek to divest its entire stake in Gallant.

Meanwhile, Anthony Salim's stake in Gallant has risen from 53.4% to 74.6% post the rights issue.

Imas is one of the largest automatI've group in Indonesia that distribute vehicle..this will help gallant directly gain into into I Indonesian automotive pie and uncle salim will become the largest shareholder of gallant with sembcorp .they expect to issues right share at 28cents . A nta 52cents counter sells g at 28cents..that why uncle salim will to take all if shareholder don't wan...hope the.deal will go through within the ninety.days ..vested

Bintan Resort International executive chairman, Brig. Gen. (ret) Chin Chow Yoon, said the company was investing some S$100 million (US$78.84 million) to build the airport in cooperation with Gallant Venture Ltd. The resort is a subsidiary of Gallant Venture.

Chin was upbeat that the special airport would increase the number of foreign tourists. There were 470,470 tourists visiting the resort in 2011 and it is expected the number will jump to 2 million in 2015.

The airport will be the first international special airport in Indonesia and will be able to accommodate airplanes with a flying range of five hours. The capacity will be increased to serve larger airplanes with a flying range of seven hours once it is operating properly.

The airport will be equipped with various facilities as at other international airports.

 

Well, I actually think otherwise. With a stronger Indonesian economy in the backdrop, this company is a beneficiary. However, it's past still haunts many speculative investor.
