Yes, Trump wants lower interest rates. But he doesn' t seem to understand he has zero control. He can pressure the Fed to lower Fed fund rate, which impacts short term rates but longer term bonds are controlled by the market.

The yield jumped quite a lot as of now. US dollar jumped too

Hence reits dropping
May be not. Trump is a businessman. Lower interest rate environment favours businesses.
