And if everybody do that, the world will be a much, much better place.
Than if we all just stand by and pretend we didnt see when someone needs help.
Recently I was at a Fairprice shop and I was right at the cashier doing my transaction.
The elderly lady who was right behind me tried to open a box containing cherry tomatoes and everything sort of exploded and
there were cherry tomatoes everywhere. Those in the queue behind her and those who were walking past all stopped and bent
down to pick up the cherry tomatoes for the elderly lady. It was heartwarming to see people extending kindness to a fellow being
when help was needed. I couldnt move out from where I was standing to help becoz the lady' s trolley was blocking me. There was
another time at another place where a customer dropped a whole bunch of coins which rolled in every direction. All those who were
near to that customer or passing by without hesitation picked up all the coins to return to the rightful owner. And there was once I was
at a mall at the corridor. I saw a kid...about 3 to 4 yrs old climbing onto the glass railing and looking down into the mall atrium which
was 3 floors below. His head and his shoulders were already over the top of the railing. I shouted at the kid " Boy!!! Get down !!! Get
down !!!" . He looked at me...was startled and proceeded to get down. His mother, who was on the phone and with her back facing
the kid, was totally unaware that her kid was in danger of falling. She heard my scream and ran back towards her child. Phew !!!
So, nice one there, Bro Kazerin.
Your friend... he didnt take out insurance to cover such a situation ?

This reit is tricky. It has a rather complicated scheme.
The one that caused me alarm is that the sponsor will be guaranteeing 7.5 and 7.8% yield for the first 2 years after that it will stay at 7.8% but if it achieves this for 2 consecutive years, it is relieved from this guarantee. So if the reit performs badly, the SH will be left holding it. It is structured in a way that even if this happens, the sponsor will be guaranteed its income.
Go to Financial Horse it has an article that details this.
Plus for reits I always look for a strong backer. First Reit, Eagle are 2 examples to remember. Reits to me basically borrow money to fund its assets and use the income to pay the debt. When the economy is bad (like the Covid), it will be hit pretty badly.
Whether it' s a China play, these already are enough to discourage me.

This week news was abt the tuas factory explosion.
That was my friend's company.
On the day after the incident, my friend called me to ask for help.
He was visibly shaken.
The wall facade was hanging by the tread and needs to be removed as it is a.safety hazard so i deploy my workers, lorry crane and scissors lift to help them remove.
Think this time he jialat liao.
Will be keeping him in my prayers.
Life is unpredictable, cherish your loved ones.

This morning, I attended my niece' s church wedding at Barker Rd.
That would be the daughter of my younger brother.
At the church wedding, I saw the familiar face of a public figure.
I saw the bridegroom talking to this familiar face and they seemed to know each other very well.
I asked another niece-in-law who is married to my nephew (who is an elder brother of the niece who is getting married) what is
the connection between the bridegroom and the public figure.... is it thru work or are they related ?
" That is his dad" , I was told.
" Oh !!!" I exclaimed. " His dad ??? I didnt know that" , I said.
During our CNY gatherings over the last 3 years, I have met the bridegroom previously but didnt speak to him or ask about his
background. He and my niece were dating. He was just a boyfriend, I thought. And you all know...boyfriends and girlfriends....they
come and go. So no point asking so much. Until they tie the knot. Then the boy or girl is " trapped" .
So I found out only today that my niece was dating a man who is a son of a public figure. His wife was there too. They are nice
people and are a lovely couple. Who is this public figure ? This one.

So starting today, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan is now my distant relative... related by marriage between my niece and his son.
My niece and her husband were ACJC classmates. I dunno which year and how soon they started to have an eye for each
other but from then till now, it was love all the way from JC till now. Both are 27 this year. I did a search and apparently, it
runs in the family. Dr Vivian' s mother is a Chinese. Dr Vivian married a Chinese. And now his son has married a Chinese
too. Dr Vivian' s first child is a daughter who is married to a Chinese man, I think. I suppose being raised by a Chinese mother,
had a profound influence on the children to look for a Chinese spouse seeing how lovely their mother is to them and to their
father. And for your info, Dr Vivian' s daughter is incredibly beautiful. See for yourself. In this photo, you can see the 3 important
women in Dr Vivian' s life. His mother, lovely one, and daughter. A most blessed family indeed.

For me, 1-3 is my preference! They are well managed reit counter with expansion every now and then. Good sponsor, capable mgmt. I think any weakness in price present an opportunity.. dyodd
