Of course if u short now, high chance price will go down.

See the trade earlier on and someone shorting real hard first 3 hours. Thats y i say sgx stock is not base on company prospect or performance.

It is base on who is playing. The person shorting alrdy take back a lot of profit last hours liao. So should go back to 440 next monday.

I no need anyone to believe in me.

If I am anyone,  I am David

DBS (TP 72cents) and AMFraser (60cents) are Goliath.

See how those Goliath stand at the sideline and watch as I short down their Valuetronic.

It fell today mainly because of the dilution from exercise of director's employee stock options(imo, at least proven by hard facts), but selling gis overdone! Entered at 0.450! Cagr of 20+% for past few yrs is good fundamentals for this stock! The fall is most likely transitory! However, resistance at 0.500..

Just to set the record straight, I did not any short anything today.  My short position on Valuetronic was opened quite some times back when price was rushing and the market was celebrating on DBS report.

I don' t think your statement of " sgx stock is not base on company prospect or performance"   really apply to Valuetronic case. To be fair, due to its outstanding performance in recent period, the market has already reward Valuetronic with quite a long and far distance bull run. In fact I once read one forummer here showing off his 400% gain here.

Hi, I read your report. Can I know why your report is only focussed on the LED segment, whereas Valuetronics business is so diversified in many arena. Do you have the size of the business and finance of the LED segment in relation to the overall business? This is critical information but was not reflected in your report. Hi thanks for reading my report,

But basic business strategy and economic theory goes as the following:

1) Segment A (in this case the low end LED segment) profit margin falling and competition increasing.

2) Those who remains in Segment A can only wait for consolidation where big businesses eat up small businesses

3) Businesses in Segment A, who want to survive, will start to move into other segment (In this context, the premium LED market) to escape competition and seek of better margin.

4) To move into other segments entail investment in better technology of course and Chinese Gov has been giving out heavy subsidies in this area.

I don' t make claims without logic.

Actually who know the real reasons? Fundamentally it shouldn't drop so much. I collected the dividend and expect it to drop and prepared to hold if it doesn't drop too much. But it did and I have divested all while still in reasonable profit plus dividend. 1q results also ok so this huge drop from 55 cents to 44.5 cents is puzzling. Company still cash rich with no debt. ICE segment still growing and more than compensate the decline in CE segment. I am sure if has chance I will buy back.

Rebound better sell..the directors are milking this co..see all the millions given away to emp[loyees and directors since public listing convertible < 20cts that' s why throw all to u..the last time dropped to 44cts was because b4 AGM need to push for the dividends issue ..besides T< P 60-72cts by various brokerages..Valuetronics already touched 59cts

Read ur report.

Partly correct base on layman assumtion. U must understand China factories b4 saying that they will start producing  premium LED for no reason. This is unlikly the way down the road.

1) China manufacturers pride themselves doing cheap LED. Asking them to use premium tech is assuming they have the expertise and the willingness to do it. Like asking China to build a stealth fighter plane which failed.

2) China  production cost is raising. This could eat into their competitiveness and make them unwilling to invest in a higher quality product.

3) I believe if the China man wans to produce premium LED... They would have done it years ago, ignoring those patent laws. " There is a will, ther is a way" thats when there is real profit there then u sure see China at the front of that line. Otherwise, They rather invest their time somewhere else.
