I think it is important to look at the overall mortality rate.

I was commenting to my wife that overall if the rate is the same, then this is probably coincidental.

However, although it may not be directly linked to the vaccine, I wonder could the stress of having the vaccine, worrying about its side effect etc have any indirect link? We will never know cause this is not something that can be proved easily. It will always be just " what the probability is" .

If I am in that age group, I too will weigh the odds and ask myself....

1. If I decline vaccination and I dont travel and I wear a mask everytime I am out, I will be like what I have been in the last 12 months.
2. If I have the jab and I sway sway belong to the minority who will react badly to the vaccine, I could be history within 3 weeks.

Unless SG Stock Market does not revamp & control shortselling, only the 3 local banks will stand to benefit. As for other counters, Longists will be kiasi & kiasu & scramble for the exit whenever up 23 to 4 pips even when market is positive.

This " creeping up slowly" is the same price action we saw when she was hovering at 3.12 to 3.15...then 3.05 to 3.10...then
3.01 to 3.05... and so on. I wont be at all surprised if we see her back at 2.87 : 2.88 later. And then show us a New Low. Dow
rose more than +600 pts last nite and closed at more than +300 pts. But like I said, if there is a seller with a large SELL order
to fill, it doesnt matter even if Dow is up +1000 pts. Just stand back and relax and wait for him to finish selling.

Now 2.89 : 2.90.

Me too.
For me, interest rate up or down doesnt matter.
The time to be a bystander is when Tua Phows sell.
And the time to move in is when another group of Tua Phows start buying in the hundreds and thousands.

That' s why I said that.
Actually interest rate generally goes up when economy is looking up. Good for business, including reits, no?
But interest rates hurt borrowing cost which reits have huge chunk. Bad for them (and other business also), no?
So it' s a double edge sword. Upto whoever claiming to be experts to interpret.

To me, when it' s time it is correcting, everyone will sing the second opinion. But if it is on an uptrend, everyone will be singing the first opinion. End result, just market noise. I ignore and stick to my own game.

Back then, there was likewise so much talk about a rising interest rate environment is bad for REITs.
DunnoWhen " downgraded" REITs and called for SELL.
But what happened to our REITs?
They did this....

Dow closed +306.
Intraday High was +652. She gave back -346 pts from last nite' s HIGH. Hmmm...
Futures now at +118.
See whether prata man comes out later.
Maybe this prata man is special.
Instead of the usual offerings...egg prata, onion prata, cheese prata....etc...this one serves woof prata too.

The top 2 are Frasers L& C and Keppel Reit. They have about the same number of outstanding shares (34xx b). So as long as FLC price is higher than KR, FLC will be the one.
So does that mean FLC is unlikely to fall much (about 15-20c higher than KR now) before that happens? Maybe after that it will. cheeky
Anyway, like I said earlier, me guan only for now.
