Yes, the one party that is accumulating is likely a Wall street shark like Goldman Sach, JP Morgan or the likes. Most buy transactions were done at 8.5/ 8.6 cents over the past 2 weeks.

However, my opinion is that the accumulation is to slowly cover their 1-2 billion shares Short position that was built up when they suppress SCM' s share price from 16 to 8 cents immediately post rights issue.

It seems to me that there is only one party accumulating SCM.
If I am them accumulating SCM, very shiok.
Now not happy, drop to 8.3/8.4....  Later, return back to 8.4 to 8.5... If feel shiok, buy to 8.5/8.6...
Go up and down repeatedly to squeeze/irritate those retailers and contras.

Why they won' t go to 8.2 and 8.3
I think this is because there is long queue (queue to the max) at the price 8.2 to 8.3. It does not make sense for them to sell a big chunk( that is about their two days worht of accumulation) to drive down price since their purpose is to accumulate.
If there is long queue at 8.4, they will have to set the range higher.

Yup. Yes. That one party is having a monopoly of the SCM share range(8.3 to 8.5)

MANFREDTMK      ( Date: 09-Dec-2021 12:29) Posted:

Since the top 25 shareholders ( excluding TH) only own 1.2b shares, it's hard for them to push the price below 8 cents. Retails own 42% and will not sell at a loss. Those who wish to sell have already sold. Hence, it only needs a small increase in demand, perhaps due to funds allocating higher weightage to Green Energy shares, to cause a squirt all over the face.

I too is making concentrated bets on SCM.
I think it is ok if you have the earning power to cover.
If don' t bet now, bet when ? when SCM is 4 cents ?  cheeky

I give myself until age 50 the luxury of making concentrated bets. After 50, would be more cautious.

Got it. Seems like you are betting your life on SM. May be prudent to diversify your portfolio. But hard to find bomb-out recovery stocks now.

The second biggest shareholders, Vanguard only has 0.5b shares and is a net buyers. The third biggest one is Blackrock, a net sellers with only 180m shares. The rest of the funds hold very little shares, mostly below 50m shares. So I don't think funds can influence the price significantly on the downside. More importantly, since funds are so underweight on SM, there's a glimpse of HOPE on the upside when they rebalance their portfolio.

I think I know how it works.

I am using DBS Vickers. If the seller is using another broker, they would show the name of the other broker as the counter party.

If the seller is also using DBS Vickers, then an internal client code would appear as the counter party....in this case client " 751" of DBS Vickers.

Drawn from my strong belief that management is now more determined than ever to prove all skeptics wrong via higher stock prices, facilitated by an improving industry. The ability to spot recovery play always give the highest returns. SM is nuclear-bomb out. Low Entry price is the primest property, not Orchard road or District 10, even if it's haunted
