ISDN Holdings in JV to bring state-of-the-art disinfectant solutions into Asia&rsquo s fight against COVID-19  ISDN is taking 51% stake in a joint venture with ERST Project GmbH to bring innovative disinfectant products and solutions for Asian and Pacific markets  ERSTOTIZER is an advanced anti-viral, anti-bacterial film with demonstrated antiviral capabilities lasting up to 24 months  WATERLIQ is a water-based disinfectant that can be safely applied directly to disinfect surfaces immediately, and can also be safely used in aerosol, fogging or humidifier applications to clean large areas  Both products are environmentally-friendly, tested by independent laboratories, and satisfy EPA criteria on effectiveness against viruses  The JV is already supplying product samples to selected markets with promising results. ISDN is proud to be using its global relationships and market access in Asia to contribute commercial solutions for Asia&rsquo s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic

Amazing news, if contracted by relevant agencies and government bodies, would bode well for ISDN!

Meaning all the while no proper check and balance? Will it be too late? Maybe other issues yet to surface?

Hi all!

I believe it not a big amount, in the China business. Not catastrophic to balance sheet.

Inevitable when the company is growing in China, just need to learn from this lesson and put in the proper checks and balance.

Plus with the Fund taking a seat on the board. Only one way up!

ISDN Hldgs ($0.200, up 0.001) has formed an joint venture company in Singapore with Switzerland' s Interelectric AG to offer the Maxon motor in Southeast Asia, further deepening their nearly three decades long business partnership, which now spans nine markets including Greater China. Founded in 1961, Maxon Motor manufactures micro motors and drive systems used in a myriad of consumer products and industrial applications, including insulin pumps, surgical power tools, tattoo machines and even Mars rovers. Maxon motor, which generated revenue of 459mln Swiss francs (S$635mln) in 2017, has production plants in Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, France, Netherlands, the United States, South Korea and China.

Its products are sold in 40 countries worldwide. The formation of a joint venture to target Southeast Asia is a natural progression as ISDN has been Maxon Motor&rsquo s exclusive distributor in Singapore since early 1990. ISDN, an integrated precision engineering firm listed in Singapore and Hong Kong, went on to form an joint venture with Maxon Motor in 1995 to offer motion control solutions in China. A similar arrangement followed in 2007, when both companies teamed up to expand into Taiwan.

Mr Teo Cher Koon, ISDN' s Managing Director and President, said: " As a motion control solutions provider, we don&rsquo t just distribute products like those made by Maxon Motor. We also design and customise motion control systems to help companies automate their factory operations so they can reduce costs and optimise production efficiency. This joint venture further reinforces our longstanding business ties with Maxon Motor, especially in Southeast Asia, where we believe Maxon motors will be well sought after by a wide array of industrial application like Robots, Cobots, AI, IOT, medical and aerospace."

The hydropower projects will soon make a significant impact on the profit of ISDN, from 2H2019, when the first 2 hydropower plants start operations.
2010 will be even better with hydropower plant No.3 starting up. Time to put ISDN back on the investors' radar screen!

Yes probably you are right as the hydroplant will only be operational from 2nd half but figures on the low side are not wrong.,if calculated on full yr.

Leeta, you said :  ." with potential to add SGD 4 to 6M profit for FY2019 and SGD 7M-15M for FY 2020."

May I ask how you derived the figures, which look high?
