This about minor retail buyer against giant ocbc..
Reflects the sad state of corporate governance & lax regulatory here.. extension after extension to GE favours the giant while ignoring small retail players despite the unfair unvalued offer.
Dyodd but can happen to anyone of us small players here..
Not sure how this will turn out, but may not be an impossible equation

Looks like every couple of trading days, it consolidates, then run up again each time with higher highs.

Very unlikely to happen .
OCBC tried so hard to take GE private in the past , now almost there at 93% ( they need around 98% if I remembered correctly ) and I dont think they will just give out the GE shares for free to shareholders .
Anyway GE' s time extension by SGX to comply with free float rule will be due in Jan 2025 . Let see what happens next .

Why would OCBC willingly reduce its NAV and profit base, especially since owning GE is strategically valuable? GE contributes to OCBC&rsquo s income and diversification. Indeed, only a minority of shareholders might push for this. Most instutitional funds will prefer OCBC to retain stable earnings rather than distribute its crown jewel.

Likely to go higher till GE shares issue resolved and whilst awaiting 2024fy results. Also been lagging behind dbs and uob recently..
