Actually it has so much potential to fly high... Grab while it's cheap is good

Think cuz the outer is relatively cheap now

the strong rally on the counter is also possibly due to covering of short positions since there isnt any announced event over the last week (apart from RHB' s model portfolio report) but the counter went underwater after RHB initiated previously so it does not make sense that it rallied cos of the update report.

do you mind sharing why 3Q is unlikely to be good?

First round might be over for time being. Wait for price to slide and weak holders to unload sincd 3Q is not going to be good..

Unlikely it is the covering of short positions. Covering of short positions must be done on the same day. Global Invacom posts its financial report every 6 months, so the next report will be on Feb 2016, iirc.

yeah, RHB is the old DMG. no idea to be honest but I have been following some of their research reports, seems like this is one of the few companies that went underwater after initiation. the volatility on this counter is quite high, it rose from 14 cents to 19.4 cents and retraced slightly today. seems like a trend that companies are becoming hit and run counters.

RHB' s new $1-m model portfolio: Buy CAO, Global Invacom, k1, SSC, Yoma

We are also adding Global Invacom, which has been severely beaten down alongside the rout in the market. Our tech analyst Jarick Seet likes the company for its strengths as a manufacturer-cum-supplier of satellite TV and cable peripherals products. YTD, the stock is down 65% due to a series of one-off expenses (M& A expenses and write-down) and orders pushback. Our recent channel checks with its suppliers indicate that order flows are still heathy. We expect a strong 2H15 to more than offset the loss in 1H15.

We expect a strong turnaround in FY16, due to: 1) demand surge from new satellite launches 2) potential Skyware turnaround 3) cross-selling of products and 4) a new generation product. Our SGD0.45 TP (implying a FY16F P/E of 9.8x), represents 200% upside potential return from current depressed levels. The stock is trading at an ex-cash FY16 P/E of 1.6x (net cash is equivalent to about 60% of market cap). We will be buying 700,000 shares at SGD0.142.

it is probably also a case of the market cherry-picking the good companies that had fallen ridiculously during the sell-off. think the normalised price level of this counter would be at least the low 20s, probably 22cents or so?
