29 July 2024, SINGAPORE - Mainboard-listed Samudera Shipping Line could be seeing a strong uptrend in earnings, thanks to a sharp pickup in freight rates since March.

Analysts reckon that earnings for the six months to end-June could come in better than the net profit of US$66.7 million (S$89.6 million) it posted during the same period in 2023. For that period, earnings were 62 per cent down from the US$171.7 million net profit it raked in during the first half of 2022, when supply chain congestion saw container shipping freight rates soar.

 

Samudera broke through the $1.00 mark on Friday and closed strongly at $1.
Likey in antipation of result reporting this week.
It is a given that Samudera will be reporting a good set of resutls for this 2nd half.given the steep rise of shipping rates.

The expectation is that the share price will break the 52-week high of $1.07 reached recently.

GOOD News probably have somehow leaked out in the grapevine before the announcement over the weekend as evident by the bouyant buy up..  Finally, all longists whom have collected can heave a sign of relief for patiently waiting at 93.5 to 94 for more than 2 weeks... This is indeed a reward to all loyal followers and i wont not be surprised once Monday open, it will touch 110 and above once it surpass 107.  The stock is now in control of the INDO BIG BOYS AND ITS fella ang mo brokers.  The last flush was merciless as its intent is to kill all nay believers and short term contra players so they can lick their wounds and lose all faith before they push up again..
