very quiet afternoon start... if oil drops again as last times around this time, we can see a flush before the weekend...though RH is more solid than rex so it should not get too low... rex on the other hand could visit 170 again... any thoughts?

🚨 🇸 🇦 🇮 🇷 About 30 supertankers are steaming toward Saudi Arabia's Red Sea port of Yanbu.
Normal traffic is 2 per month.
Saudi Arabia is rerouting oil exports through its western coast after Iranian strikes choked the Strait of Hormuz.
The kingdom plans to push roughly 5 million barrels per day through the Red Sea.
But the new route carries its own risks.
Tankers still have to pass through the Bab al-Mandab strait, where Houthis attacked ships for 2 years and which is also within range of Iranian missiles.
Iraq, Kuwait, and the UAE have cut production as their Gulf storage facilities hit capacity.

Stocks came under pressure and oil spiked after Iran?s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said that the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route, should remain shut as a ?tool to pressure the enemy.? West Texas Intermediate futures climbed 9.72% to settle at $95.73 per barrel. Brent crude futures gained 9.22% to end the session at $100.46 a barrel, marking its first close above $100 since August 2022.
Higher oil prices, along with several other key hurdles in the market, are causing investors pain, according to Chris Toomey, managing director at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management.
?You?ve got the [artificial intelligence] buildout, you?ve got private credit ? and this energy situation,? he said on CNBC?s ?Closing Bell.? ?I think the energy situation is the thing that we?re most concerned about.?
Toomey added that if Strait of Hormuz sees sustained impairment beyond two or three months, that ?becomes a real problem.?

DUBAI: Iran will avenge the blood of its martyrs, keep the Strait of Hormuz closed and attack United States bases, new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said on Thursday (Mar 12) in a statement read out on state television, his first remarks since succeeding his slain father.
In the defiant address, Khamenei said the US must close all its bases in the region. The strait, which runs past Iran's coast and supplies a fifth of the world's oil, should remain shut to put pressure on the enemy, he said.
Two tankers were ablaze in an Iraqi port on Thursday after they were hit by suspected Iranian explosive-laden boats, a step-up in attacks that have cut off oil from the Middle East and defied US President Donald Trump's claim to have won the war he launched two weeks ago.
Images verified by Reuters as having been filmed from the shore of the port of Basra showed ships engulfed in massive orange fireballs that lit up the night sky, after the attacks, which Iraqi authorities blamed on Iranian boats. At least one crew member was killed.
Hours earlier, three other ships had been struck in the Gulf.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed responsibility for at least one of those attacks, on a Thai bulk carrier that was set ablaze, which the Guards said had disobeyed their orders.
Another container vessel reported being struck by an unknown projectile near the United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
