U will know when u see how much money is being refunded to u. Also, if u have CDP online, u can login to check the shares credited or call the CDF hotline to check how many shares balance but it will take a longer time to reflect. Checking your bank acct is fastest.

Any kind hearted soul can tell me, when do we know how many shares of SIA (excess rights application) are we being awarded with? Thanks.
I bought the rights shares from open market and oversubscribed it (by a lot) - I know I won' t get all, but how do I know how many shares am I allocated with? And when do I know? Thank you very much in advance. |

Only shareholders before ex-rights date are eligible for excess rights, you can apply for excess rights if you bought the rights after XR, but you don' t actually qualify for them.

Sorry I don get you. I bought 1100 right shares from the open market. Yesterday I went to ATM to convert into SIA shares @ $3, and oversubscribed it

You can get excess rights if you were a shareholder before XR, you don' t get any excess rights if you bought the rights and exercised them after XR.

Put it this way....they set the rules. You chose to trade with them, their rules
i prefer to have my shares deposited with the real & neutral registry, ie: CDP.
don' t make the mistake of biting the carrot they lay out to trap you...eg: Low brokerages, short-sell facilitates....etc.

I am not sure about now .... but when the SIA price was 4.4 (second or third day after xR), you couldn' t short via Philips security (CFD). I believe Philips Security might own some SIA shares ... or they borrow from their custodian holding (those who authorised them and earn interest) or maybe they will get the shares from SGX ....
If they dun have any spare shares ...and can' t borrow from SGX to put into the CFD, you can' t short on their CFD platform.

| Im curious. How they lock? They entered into short positions at very high price such that no further contracts can be shorted but at same time, the transcations will not happen because they que to short at high price.. say $5 |

| try sell with cfd first but orders rejected this morning.  Look like  again the BBs lock up all the sell position.  if you sell mothershare you have to buy back each day and repeat trade until 8 jun.  very expensive |

China going into war? Will US intervene? So scary.
Excerpt from CNA
BEIJING: China will attack Taiwan if there is no other way of stopping it from becoming independent, one of the country's most senior generals said on Friday (May 29), a rhetorical escalation between China and the democratically ruled island Beijing claims as its own.
Markets will be in turmoil if that really happen. Taiwan and China will become a no fly zone.
Trade with caution no contra no short and DYODD
Current price already discounted most bad news. Any positive update will reverse the trend. Comoany now loaded with cash and trading about 60% of NTA is cheap imo.
Patience is key for SIA. Cheers
Better be safe than sorry.

If price can head down to 300 then sell mother first and hold the child.
Trade with expectation

right and wrong.  right issue story is over but the 8 billion dollars worth SIA shares has not be allowed to be traded yet.  Just imagine  Buyers can buy anytime they like and all the buyers are done.  But the sellers are not allowed to sell their right shares until 8 jun.  very lopsided if you ask me .  So if you are an investor or buyer.
logially,  now is not the right time to enter the market

Ya , should not expect dilution again.
The worst transition period should be over, now SIA share price is quite stabilised after speculation over past few weeks.
Look at US airlines , most have recovered from the bottom. Now all look ahead for the reopening |

Percentage up is always smaller than percentages down in absolute terms, if you know what I mean. The house always win.

take a look at DLC for SGX today.  mothershare increase 2%.    DLC for SGX increase same 2%.  where all the 5X profit went?  long run will lose.

| Price dilute due to right shares already happened on 6May, dropped by 20% from $6. Why people still keep talking about it?  |
