Market reaction and share price doesn't lie.... with current management team, I am not sure they will bring the company forward.

now it becomes the smaller telco
why below 120 again...
Good news for StarHub!
With the sales of M1 to Simba(TPG), it will benefit StarHub with lesser Telcos competition with the consolidation of the telcos business in Sg.
StarHub now can better focus on its business.
It believe it is good that StarHub did not buy over M1 :)
Moving forward, StarHub should be moving towards $3 or more with this good news and with the improvement of SGX market

According to SGX - More than 30 companies are currently in the Singapore Exchange?s (SGX) initial public offering (IPO) pipeline, according to the group?s head of global sales and origination, Pol de Win.
I wonder if Ensign is one of the 30 companies.

Yes, at least the CFO hinted the next target price $5

Agree Singtel is better in growth potential as it has already shown. Starhub is still below pre covid price or the price since the CEO took over.
I don't think there's any bigger fishes that can take over Starhub considering there are so few players in SG telco market. It will definitely last but will be stagnant with only the listing of Ensign being the catalyst now.

Buy Singtel better.
Growth potential of Starhub not so good.
Likely taken over by bigger fishes.
Starhub may not last too long... ...

125. Seems compelling, just take private at $3 and call it a day :)

Meanwhile Starhub's major shareholder ST Telemedia will soon have cash of over USD5 billion and they could easily take Starhub private if they want to.

SingTel ? sector consolidation, delayed
What?s new:
Starhub and M1 (84% owned by Keppel) have received their licences for the 700MHz spectrum
Why it matters:
Spectrum fees paid in end Jun-25. MQ had previously outlined a possible timeline for sector consolidation for Singapore Telcos in Nov 2024. This was predicated on the notion that the impending Jun 2025 deadline for payment of the 700MHz spectrum would set a soft deadline for both parties to act. That has passed by without incident, which brings to question whether consolidation remains in the works.
MQ believes consolidation remains in play.
? The last page of M1's licence agreement shows that they have broken up their spectrum fee payable over four years (i.e. 2025-28) at S$18.8m / S$18.8m / S$18.8m / S$37.6m respectively. As note (b) indicates, IMDA granted the deferred payment schedule at the Grantee's (i.e. M1) request.
? Conversely, both Singtel and STH are paying the spectrum fees in full within their first year. A quick check of the older licences indicates that spectrum fees have always been paid in full within the first year
Conclusion: consolidation is not fully off the table. The timeline is less defined now: it remains probable for 2025 completion, but could be pushed out. If anything, M1's deferred payment schedule suggests that the new time-frame could be anytime between now and 2028.
