ONE Places $4.2B Container Ship Orders with Chinese, Korean, Japanese Yards
Ocean Network Express (ONE) is poised to place new container ship orders worth around $4.2 billion. The Japanese liner is in advanced talks with shipyards in China, South Korea and Japan for up to 22 neo-Panamax vessels, including at least 10 ships of 13,000 TEU and up to 12 ships of 15,000 TEU. All newbuildings will feature LNG dual-fuel propulsion to meet stricter environmental rules. Under the tender, ONE seeks 6 firm + 6 optional 13,000 TEU ships, and 6 firm + 4 optional 15,000 TEU units. Brokers value the 13k TEU ships at about $1.8 billion and the 15k TEU ships at around $2.4 billion.
ONE Lines, a Singapore registered company, has in fact contacted yards in China, Korea & Japan
over a contract of up to 22 Neopanamax (13k teu) box ships worth USD 4.2 Bn.
It was mentioned they wanted to finalise the deals before CNY.
I did post about this news before CNY. To date, I have not heard any update.

I supposed China ban export of steel mat'ls and products to major ship yards in Japan.
There is a fair degree of manipulation for this counter. It got pushed down to $3.16 for no reason and likewise being pushed all the way up now and in such a scenario it can go beyond least expected levels.

dunt forget 1/2 yr they made RMB 4.117B, which is abt SGD.0.78B, so full yr maybe SGD 1.5B and abv
and based upon their 3.935B shares total div payout at 20 cts only cost them SGD 0.79 B nia., hahaha, still hv tons of excess to transfer to their accumulated earnings. and enough for a bonus issue ya,
