top mgmt also need 2-3 years to plan our strategy and execute, interim what happen to the $4b+ debt liabilities, still need to repay right..also how to win customer contracts and order books when the company may go under anytime? oil majors also wont want to risk project getting done halfway. no matter how i see it this seems to be one of the best option for everyone. At least can subscribe to excess at 20c

Temasek is an investment company unlike the Fed Rerve can print trillion of dollars.
Every single dollar is accounted for....I guess they also lose a lot of money in this company.

Think when Keppel and SCM merge hopefully, under Tmsk' s umbrella, a giant will emerge at probably the right time when Covid is tapering, and air transport is rapidly increasing, meaning their bizness will pick up.
Just a quick look at Keppel' s past 10 years' record, never failed to give attractive div. whereas for SCM can just hope and hope lah.
This would be long term survival and growth for SCM, instead of continual decay under the heavy burden of unpayable debts and lack of biz.
Just opinion, with no intention to offend those who don' t agree.

There is no quick fix solutions...need to go thru step by step. To make a baby also need to wait for 10 months

but i thought some ppl want to veto and vote no? in theory of course it make sense to have a strong backer rather than not. Thats how grab is surviving with softbank channeling in unlimited capital

not sure if its SCI which proposed to SMM to return 1.5b loan in form of equity, or its SMM which came up with this idea, or maybe its temasek behind pulling the strings. I have never seen a deal proposed by Temasek fail before so this rights likely to go through, the 2002 privatization offer from SCI to SMM does not involve temasek.

Think when it drop to 40c or slightly more, there will be strong supporters.
Maybe for those who kek sim to watch it drop non stop, is to sell now and buy when it dropped until cannot drop.
That is if they still have interest to keep scm in their long term portfolio.
For me, am keen to buy scm big time, but only when the rights become tradeable, will buy ard 2c, add to 20 cts, total is 22c, excellent deal imo, with Tmsk' s support.Obviously T can do many things that SCI and SCM cannot do on their own lah, but currently no choice, got shorties just keep pulling down lah. SCI also kena dragged down, for BBs to collect lah.
