Despite reporting pretax losses for consecutive 3 years, its market cap is way higher beyond the 40 million threshold, so it' s not going on to the watchlist. I think this makes sense, otherwise how to attract big tech unicorns, who are usually loss making, to list on SGX?
MARINE and offshore engineering group Sembcorp Marine (Sembmarine) on Tuesday (Mar 29) gave notice that it recorded 3 consecutive years of pre-tax losses, based on its audited full-year consolidated accounts.
The group' s 6-month average daily market capitalisation was S$2.6 billion as at Mar 28, which means the group still meets the financial entry criteria to avoid being placed on the Singapore Exchange' s (SGX) watch list.

TH' s intention was to remove the " cancerous" parts (KOM & SCM) of SCI and KC which is their main focus. TH willl be more than happy to sell off the enlarged " canceours tumour" at cost price to a 3rd party. Maybe a PRC company is waiting in the wings.

And it may drop ovenight to 8 cts the day after after the merger terms are announced, if unfavourable. And even lower if a RI is announced along with the merger for SCM to fund the merger.
And just imagine, for some of the positivists, a 1 ct drop will mean $50k lesser.
Agree SCM is for the real battle hardened. Not for novices, especially undergraduates. Unfortunately, at these price levels, SCM will only end up attracting novices out to make a quick profit.

TH wrote off SCM long time ago. It' s main focus was SCI. It' s hanging on to so see what " peanuts" could be salvaged by merging it with KOM.

Today it announced report and a long letter to shareholders but not quite understand what they trying to talk....marriage deal need to offer a good price before deal ?

Both KOM and SM will merge. KC, the mother of KOM will hold shares of the merged entity, as a shareholder.
Before merger, SM may even declare a dividend from excess cash from rights issue. My fat Hope and I hope fat.
Now is the time for SM and dawn beckons after torrential monsoon seasons with rainbow appearing at the horizon. Pursue that rainbow and there are rich veins of gold at the end of that 🌈 .

Just watch Kep Corp drop a little then auto Semb go up a little most likely Kep Corp post merger will go down in lieu of free Semb shares I suppose but still win win win win All Win in the longer term
