Stock market is forward looking.
I cannot imagine anymore bad news except a slew of good news.
0.085 ✅ let this pendulum swing 85/86 and then
0.094 before Xmas and fast and fury

The recent approval of the US 3 trillions dollar infrastructure budget may cause another commodity super cycle. Hyperinflation is likely which will lead to Stagflation. Since the demand for oil rigs is a derived demand for oil, the justification that there's NO CONTRACT is totally misplaced. How do you know there's is No Contract in the first place when SM has already submitted 10 previously and more demand kicking in soon. When the tide comes in, even a Broken sampan will float very well. Additionally, the Green Energy market need no introduction. BIG Boys are not stupid, always can see further than their NOSE.

I mean all the OG industry, If Keppel is still keeping their OG, Yes, they will benefit as well. For sure, many more OG related company in the market with healthy financial.. definately SCM is not the best choice. But it is good for gambling. as it is hot and cheap (by share price only). For my view, the profit is more than lost because of the industry nature. So I put my bet on it.

No target price at all, when the cycle come, all the TP is pull shit. I will not surprise if SCM can get few bilion order in a short period (few month) after oil price shoot up to USD100/barrel
Oil is a small margin commodity, their price is within 5% margin of the production and demand. If more than this 5% window, either it will collapse or sky rocket. Obviously, current well is deplating (espacially shale oil), with limited new well drilled in this 2 years. limited supply + increasing demand + financial difficulty on OG industrry. For sure, OPEC spare capacity will help. but i doubt their spare can fulfill all other world deplating well and the picking up demand.
Hyper inflation is coming, as many countries are printing money, all this money must go somewhere, building factory, developing new technology, set up new data center, construct more road/port/bridge, buying more thing (car/shirt/furniture), every dollor more spend, must come with proportional increase of energy use.
Green enery is not reliable (other than nuclear and geothermal, singapore have non of it) It is depend on weather. If rainny day for few weeks? solar power eat grass? No/less wind for few weeks? wind farm not wok well? Electricy is not apple, unrealistic to store from summer and use in winter.. |

Some broking houses are very strict. They won't let you drag up to Tuesday to contra unless you are a VIP. So, it's hard for the price to go up a lot. Having say that, being able to maintain above 8.4 is a very good sign in the midst of all these contra selling. Can't ask for more. The forward march will continue next Wednesday, there will be no turning back, the sobbing will only get louder and louder by the days.
