Yes. You keep the warrants. In my view, keep the mother shares but buy some more warrants if they are cheap. Do remember that warrants carry the risk of expiring. Also warrant holders do not get dividends. Having said that, the advantage is the gearing it can give an investor with limited funds.

Thanks TigTig for the enlightenment. If I purchase my rights, I will have X-years to convert my warrant right? If i sell all my eco-shares, do i still have the warrant?

TigTig      ( Date: 19-Oct-2017 20:51) Posted:

The warrant is given free upon subscription to the Rights at 5.5 cents.    Each warrant can convert to the mother share at the strike price.    eg in the first year (according to the Jun announcement), you may convert the warrant at 9 cents.
Naturally, the warrant will become valuable when the price of the mother share goes up.  Say if the mother share rises to 10 cents, you get a 1 cent discount to convert.    After 4 years (I think), the warrant expires.

For all sgx new warrants, be it company or structured wrts, theres another new stock code for it. Even the nil paid rights will have its own stock code, til now i sitll dont know when the nil paid is gonna trade.

How come they keep it so secretive?

Yeah, the warrants would be useful later on, it' s just a matter of time.  This reminds me, there should be another market for warrants?

Yeah, I also thought it' s strange.

On a separate note, I went back time to look at the beginnings of Koh Eco, and found the original reason was to leave Koh Bros to other biz, property development was mentioned, with the construction, engineering all to move to Koh Eco.    Koh Bros has a very nice pot of retained earnings, and the stock is speckled with a lot of buyback, hence giving the impression that it will eventually be privatised.    I thought another reason was to prevent it from being another IPC where an unfriendly raider comes and eat their lunch.      These two stocks have mysteries that are still being played out, there seems to be an invisible hand that is dishing out the strategy with some precision.

yupe, that is when the rights are being traded as mother share in a few weeks time. Strangely for most right issues, the timeline should hv been given but not for this case.

Now no use, but the warrants will attract the long term investors, like yours faithfully!    With them, I can gear up with less capital.

Thanks, not looking at arbitrage, i wont sell away my nil paid rights, cos i need to round off to a whole number for the ease of disposng when the price is right.

The free warrants could be worth 2-3 cts, since the conversion is at 10 cts in the future. Thats my guesstimate only.

Yes.
SGX filing
" The Company also proposes to issue one (1) Warrant for every Rights Share validly subscribed for no consideration receivable by the Company and exercisable at the Exercise Price during the exercise period, which shall be from and including the date of issue of the Warrants and expiring at 5.00 p.m. on the date immediately preceding the 3 rd (third) anniversary of the date of issue of the Warrants unless such date is a date on which the register of members and/or register of warrantholders of the Company is/are closed or is not a market day, in which event the Warrants shall expire on the date prior to the closure of the register of members and/or register of warrantholders of the Company or on the immediately preceding market day, as the case may be (but excluding such period(s) during which the register of members and/or the register of warrantholders of the Company may be closed) (the &ldquo Exercise Period&rdquo ).The Warrants which have not been exercised at the end of the Exercise Period shall lapse and cease to be valid for any purpose."

But the chances of arbitrage, I suspect will not be there.

The rights entitlement is no longer available since yesterday.
From what I hv understood, warrants are given free to only  those who subscribed to the rights.
During the rights trading, if u sell away the rights, u are selling away the warrants
On the other way, if u buy the rights, during the rights trading, you will be entitled to the  warrants once u  converted these rights to shares.

TigTig      ( Date: 17-Oct-2017 20:46) Posted:

Yeah, I have built up quite a nice position, hence will be subscribing to the rights and getting the warrants.  Looking at the enthusiasm, there might not be cheap rights traded as they come with the warrants.    Based on a price of 9.5 cents, the rights traded at 4 cents may still make it as there is a warrant behind it.  Expect it to be traded at such levels.
