Mkt players were in a hurry to push up the price this week. Hopefully they do the same next week.
The share price usually retract  for  several days or weeks before recovering  after going up high for one or two days.
Hope they are different this time. Just my personal opinion.DYODD

I think unlikely. Indonesian parent already controls it via its 65% ownership. No need to take it private.
Any other interested party would have bought more aggressively and while it was at lower prices?
Volume today is actually not high for the amount of increase in price. Think it' s because few sellers are willing to sell lower, knowing the coming results will be very good.

On 27th June Mon up fr 0.76 to 0.815 within one day. Then started descending over 5 days to 0.765.
Similar pattern previously. Will it recover to 8series again? Let' s see....starting coming Mon...

 

The market was irrational for the past month knowing that despite the expected strong performance of Samudera Shipping it was sold down! This could be due to the overall gloomy market sentiments but for those who sold it simply doesn' t make sense. Why sell when the going was good for the company?   There are not many good businesses to invest in in the current economic climate.   Samudera Shipping is in the right place at the right time and is benefiting from the strong freight rates as a result of the supply chain disruption worldwide because of the war in Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, lockdown by China because of Covid, inflationary pressures because of massive money printing by US, etc

Samudera Indonesia has released its 5 months result as per the link below last Friday.

From the slides, the net profit of owner entity is USD 94.8M and we are aware that Samudera Singapore is contributing 65% of its net profit to Samudera Indonesia. Hence, if we do backward engineering, Samudera Singapore should be making USD 120M of net profit for 5 months. Based on this figure, Samudera Singapore' s 5 months net profit is almost exceed 2021FY (~USD 130M) net profit. 

Also, the CEO is revising the FY2022 target from USD 700M to USD 1B. Please refer to the link below.
