Sometimes restriction could be due to brokerage house exposure....like for some cases brokerage house only accept 5% to 10% of total exposure... so once hit.. they will restrict retailers...
Example 10% of 480 million share will be 48million... so if UOB kayhian holds 48million share they will trigger restriction...exposure could be from margin account or some big traders... most big traders will have deposit with brokerage house.... so their buying limit likely wont be affected...
There is also good points with retriction. The retailers will not be too exuberant to overbought the counter.

U have been calling shorts from 26 cts. So no matter whether can reach 50 or not, the longists still are tge winners.

More likely the other way. Broking houses restrict buy orders because the are probably assisting the shorts or shorting it themselves. Hahaha. For this coming week, please watch out for the downward correction, so it wont hit 50 cts any times soon. Good luck

Restriction doesnt mean u cant buy.... just need cash upfront.... put in 100k deposit lor
