Bro am, if my broker is too busy to handle me, i will sack him straight away. So many brokers around, whats the point of paying them fat commissions when they can' t be of service to me when i need them most? Gone are the days where you need to queue up to be serviced. Good luck

But imagine you short sell in the morning and you have to call your broker to cover your short (buy trade) and your broker is too busy to handle you.  Good luck when it burst through the 40c mark. You know something Alvin, i noticed that you are always thinking that you are right and you always make wild guesses...you think this and you think that. For goodness sake, don' t mislead others. If you really want to be credible, please make a little effort to call up poems or the broker to find out what' s the house rules and tell every one what information you have obtained. Shell Buys Slice of the Electric Vehicle Market With Purchase of NewMotion

As the uptake of electric vehicles accelerates, oil and gas majors have continued to grapple with how much to invest in a technology that could put them out of business. On Friday, Royal Dutch Shell made arguably the most striking vote of confidence in electric cars from a major yet: buying electric charging company NewMotion.

Gaining ownership of a company that manages 30,000 residential and business charging stations, and offers access to 50,000 more, is both a natural progression and a big step for oil and gas companies in the electric market.

The investment aligns with majors&rsquo evolving strategies to keep up in an all-electric future that may not have a place for the products they&rsquo ve made trillions selling. Right above where NewMotion&rsquo s website proclaims it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell, the site claims the company was founded with &ldquo a mission to contribute to a cleaner world by eradicating fossil fuels&rdquo -- the fuels otherwise known as Shell&rsquo s bread and butter.

They may not be for long, though. &ldquo We recognize that one of the themes of the energy transition is going to be electrification,&rdquo said Shell&rsquo s vice president for new fuels, Matthew Tipper, when announcing the purchase.

Shell currently invests about $200 million in renewables annually, but it plans to increase that to $1 billion by 2020. The company also has plans to introduce fast-charging points and install charging stations at retail locations in Norway, Britain, the Philippines and the Netherlands. All of those countries but the Philippines proposed bans on fossil fuel cars this year, which will go into effect in the coming decades. According to Shell&rsquo s own projections, a quarter of the globe&rsquo s cars will be electric by 2040.

&ldquo Today&rsquo s announcement is an early step toward ensuring customers can access a range of refueling choices over the coming decades, as new technologies evolve to co-exist with traditional transport fuels,&rdquo Tipper said.
 

 

Small investors are facing a lot of roadblocks to buy AMAL' s shares.
So i guess the big brokerage companies and institutions are taking advantage to buy at cheap.( They are going to make millions come next year this time).
Just look at the Lithium mining companies in ASX... all their SP are flying high.FROM A FEW 100x TO 1000x.
My  daydream  of AMAL SP - 50 cents from now and during construction phase.$1.00 at comissioning phase and production.$2.00 maiden shipment to Burwill HLwith quality of Lithium concentrate meets requirement of 6 percent  and production meets the nameplate capacity.
Please take it with a grain of Lithium.

It' s true that buy trade is restricted from online trading while sell trade is not.
But imagine you short sell in the morning and you have to call your broker to cover your short (buy trade) and your broker is too busy to handle you. 
Good luck when it burst through the 40c mark. Ha...

Example 10% of 480 million share will be 48million... so if UOB kayhian holds 48million share they will trigger restriction...exposure could be from margin account or some big traders... most big traders will have deposit with brokerage house.... so their buying limit likely wont be affected...
