Oil prices dropped about 11 per cent on Monday after US President Donald Trump said he would postpone any military strikes against Iranian power plants for five days and cited constructive talks to resolve hostilities in the Middle East, hours before a deadline that threatened to escalate the four-week-old war. Brent futures fell US$12.25, or 10.9 per cent, to settle at US$99.94 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate lost US$10.10, or 10.3 per cent, to settle at US$88.13.

Oil is mainly supply problem and prolong war uncertainties, thats why it is UP.
Gold is different and is super sensitive to US interest rates and world interest rates, which US and other major economies might raise their interest rates to combat inflation in the coming months instead of lowering it as per earlier Fed minutes. Thats why it is down.

are changing rapidly and abruptly. Juz sharing my views

Look at gold prices now even with the on gg war.
Isn' t it a safer hedge.

Even the oil price stays elevated but if it don stay long enough,
i doubt RH revenue/profitability wl be greatly enhanced

Pple are taking the advantage to play it up. Nothing wrong
with it...
