BigFundr is primarily owned by its parent company, Maxi-Cash Capital Management Pte. Ltd. (MCCM),
which holds a 70% stake in BigFundr. MCCM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aspial Lifestyle, which is
itself a unit of Aspial Corp. The remaining 30% of BigFundr is held by Trinity House Capital. While
Quah Kay Beng is the CEO and founder of BigFundr, earlier reports indicated that he and the founding
directors initially held 85% of the company, with Maxi-Cash holding 15%, but this stake was later
increased to 70% by MCCM.

It' s interesting that the share prices of this sector in Singapore have done so well as the gold price has risen. That is not the experience of either pawn shops in other countries nor gold retail stores in other countries. Clearly the increase in value of inventories is a big positive, but in other countries this has been outweighed as a factor on the share price by the negative impact on sales of the volatility of the gold price - shoppers don' t want to buy gold jewellry after a sharp increase in the gold price as they fear it is temporary and thus buying at the peak. Curious why the share price sentiment is different.

BigFundr&rsquo s total LUM has roughly doubled every six months for the past year. According to the platform, its total LUM grew from $44.6 million as of July 2023 to $77.5 million as of January, before growing to $160 million as of this month. The platform says it is on track to cross $500 million in total LUM by 2026. BigFundr&rsquo s growth in total LUM was underpinned by its growth in customers. The number of investors on the platform surged from 1,100 as of end-2022 to 5,200 as of mid-2024. Launched in October 2021, BigFundr is the first fintech platform licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in Singapore to provide retail investors access to real estate debt investment opportunities starting from $1,000. As opposed to outright property acquisition, BigFundr crowdsources a line of credit to real estate developers and earns interest on the principal amount over a fixed period. Since the platform&rsquo s launch in 2021, it has funded over $275 million in development loans and claims a 0% default rate. &ldquo Our remarkable growth over the past three years is a testament to the strong partnership between Maxi-Cash and BigFundr. We share common values in our desire to be the go-to investment platform for retail customers,&rdquo says Quah Kay Beng, CEO of BigFundr. The last half year of 2024 was the company' s best of the last 4 years.
The revenue was S$336 mil and profits was S$20.1 mil. Historically, 
the 1st half result is better than the 2nd half. If the trend continue
the the result of the 1st hslf of 2025, which will be the company' s best
of the past 41/2 years. The results will be out in mid August.

Surge in gold prices is good for this counter.

 

Financial results should be out in mid August.
Based on 2nd half 2024 results, 1st half year 2025 result should be very good
as historically the 1st half result is better than the 2nd half. If a good set of result is reported
and it comes with a dividend, it may act as a catalyst for the stock. Historically, the company
declare 2 dividends, one at half year and one final year.
