In an update on Apr 23, JP Morgan retained its neutral rating on Keppel and its June 2027 price target of $12. JP Morgan had downgraded Keppel on March 26 due to the ongoing Iran War.
Keppel?s 1Q2026 on Apr 23 briefing had updates on the power business, divestment targets, Rigco which owns the legacy rigs, progress on funds under management (FUM) and the M1 divestment.
JP Morgan points out Keppel guided that power spreads fell by around $10 before the Iran War but rose to $30 for shorter-term contracts, after the war started. At end-2025, 52% and 15% of power capacity were on 3-10 year and more than 10 year contracts, respectively. 28% of power contracts are on 1-3 year contracts, with just 5% on sub-1-year contracts. As at March 31, 30% of power contracts are 3-10 year terms with 15% on more than 10-year contracts, 47% on 1-3 years and 8% on less than 1 year.m

Hopefully no need to go through another decade to reach the same price again. I also bought in 2014 when the share price was also $10plus. Today& rsquo s drop is quite drastic. It even became the top loser on SGX.

Today share price closed below S2. Now depend how it will react at 150EMA, followed by S3 / 200EMA.

I hope he don' t buy if it&rsquo s insignificant, as it could send the wrong signals to investors. Given his wealth, the amount may be negligible to him. It&rsquo s less about profit and more about demonstrating confidence in and support for the company he leads.

Who is involved:
Keppel Ltd. (through its subsidiary Corredance Pte. Ltd.) is in a joint venture with three other companies: Denver Power, Tien Phuoc Real Estate, and Tran Thai Lands. Together they set up a project company called Empire City LLC to develop residential and mixed-use buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

In late 2025, the Vietnamese authorities told the project company it had to pay extra land use fees of about VND6.877 trillion (USD261 million).

The trend had turned bearish in the short-term - Now trading below, 5,20,50EMA, and below 100EMA when it goes XD on Mon.
After xd, share price should drop to 11.24 theoretically based on Fri closing price of 11.55
Near term support near $11.13 based on 0.618 fibo level or 150EMA (currently at 10.88).
Let' s see if Gupta buys more shares in the open market as share price drops/ |
