Will Melati come out to give assurance to the shareholders of Geo and keep us inform what is going to happen in the near future for Geo?
Yes, alot of investors cost below 0.40, they may have took profit dy. They can reentered when price come to 0.40 again

The local government wants to have a share of earning. Can the cost be transferred to buyer?
Geo mgtm likely getting clarification from the regulatory body now and will issue some update to investors.
Hope it can be done asap to provide more clarity going fwd.

compliance is not an issue. Issue will be hit to earnings through compression of margins. The new central authority will dictate terms, quota, prices ,etc. IT might also affect the term sheets of the binding agreements that are being signed as this is a material change and gives the other party the right to walk away. it will affect the future earnings and the multiples that are assigned to GEO. This will lead to uncetainity in the market as this is very abrupt and has blindsided everyone. So market will take time to adjust and if there are holders sitting on siginificant profit from the existing rally, there might be more selling to lock in the profits. Looking at the price correction in the last few sessions its clear some people already knew whats cooking and they have been offloading to lock the profits in. such announcements spook the market and as retail investors we should not be jumping in right now.

At S$0.48, the market has overcorrected on the policy panic.
GEO has Institutional advantage as it is listed in compliance heavy SGX.

I think the share price may have priced in the possibility of cancelling or delaying the non binding agreement.
But the other key focus is the MBJ infrastructure completion which has less impact.

wow. this is not good news. it will create an overhang till things become clear. This is a material change and might affect all the recent partnerships tha have been announced and it will nit be surprising if some of them are called off.

Indon stock market has stabilised after the spooking news, and natural sources stocks in indon has also shown sign of stablisation this morning... fingers crossed
If you owned Geo, you sell and then buy back , you are not short selling naked.

Likely triggered all the stop loss price set by retail sellers. BBs at work for sure.
Not all short selling are marked as short sell. I have shorted often with scrip that I own, so there is no need for me to mark my trade as short sell. I just sell and then buy back later in the day or another day.
Surprisingly, not much shortselling in yesterday' s trade. Sellers must have taken seriously about the comments of some Analysts like SimplyWallstreet and took the opportunity to manipulate and sell down during ex-date. The Analysts are warning people about the dilution due to many recent placement exercies and the lowering of profit margin.
