ComfortDelGro fundamentally strong but price weak

Taxi drivers complain about everything under the sun. They are smart cookies, they know how to pick and choose. The hardworking ones will selectively use uber app. Those not happy, no difference with or without app. Those who want to quit would have done so by now.

CDG waiting for approval of LCR deal to generate additional rental and engineering revenue. They also have 2/3 of revenue from MRT and Buses.

 

CDG will in a difficult position as trying to help the Co. turn around.
Now Cabbies not happy. But its not important to CDG where there will surely some cabbies looking forwards with volume/day.
Those who not happy can Q at taxi stand / Airport as they wish too or else ask them sleep at home dream and wait for $ fly into their pocket.
I will still looking for CDG plan and work out some other new idea for enhance their revenue.

After all, its still better den CDG no promo at all.
Just hope they CDG/Grab/Uber fight and compete each others.
For us, we will take it as "   哪 里 冷 ,哪 里 坐 "
With those promo given which still better den CDG dividend.

Cheapest meh? Short distance most of my rides with uber are at $1~ yet grab being $2~, and this is with uber 3$ off and grab 4$ off promo.

Uber pricing is actually much better, even grab drivers told me uber has better pricing.

Temasek invested in Grab.  Now  Singapore Tourism Board has also hopped onboard (pun intended) :

22 JANUARY, 2018

SINGAPORE ― Tourists visiting the Republic can expect to go cashless at more destinations across the island, as part of a new tie-up between the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and ride-hailing firm Grab.

Under a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on Monday (Jan 22), both parties will also launch a joint study on the behaviourial patterns and transport preferences of tourists travelling in Singapore.

" The insights gained will help both Grab and STB to tailor offerings that are more relevant and enhance the overall visitor experience," STB and Grab said in a joint press release.

The two parties also expect to exchange travel data, such as estimated fares and waiting times, in a bid to help travellers better plan their routes.

Meanwhile, Grab will offer a range of transport services to STB&rsquo s partners in the Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions and Exhibitions industry in Singapore.

STB&rsquo s chief technology officer Quek Choon Yang said the collaboration with Grab &ldquo extends beyond transportation to include sharing of consumer intelligence data and spearheading innovation and technological initiatives&rdquo .

He added: &ldquo With Grab&rsquo s extensive presence in the Southeast Asian region, which contributes a very large share of our visitors, we are confident of reaching a sizable audience through the multi-faceted touch points offered through the Grab app.&rdquo

CDG share price drop much from the peak because investor think they cannot compete with uber n grab. Now like u said "they copy what grab do" is exactly a step require to stay competitive.
It not easy to outdone grab as it is a well design system which available to many country. Just go along will do.
