SY should divest the gold mines since its well established and operating efficiently. Moreover, Australia produces grade A ..so it should commande a premium. This would yield upwards of US80mil (? Guessing only). Use the funds for fund management and be the next iFast or Ark/SPAC.

The Chinese may not be Warren Buffett and following his famous sayings... But they sure put Sun Tze Art of War into practice everyday, be it politics, economics, etc etc....So to understand them, stop taking a western lens to evaluate and judge. But think like what their culture thinks.

You might be right bro, from what i observed. BM will always pull LG when its moving. But this time round LG now SY seems to be moving off without BM. But still hope huat to all bro and sis in both BM and SY

Forgot to mention... The changing of the name is not just to rid itself of the past, but think about it... Why a Chinese name??? And not say an english name associated with Gold, Investments? There' s a reason for everything if one can read in between the lines of the management' s intent and vision.
Then should ask Tesla to take up a stake in Shen Yao since it is so cheap? Good luck

Broadly and generally speaking, the Chinese like to do things quietly unlike the western world that likes to create fanfare. The profile of the new management is hard to find if you have been using English purely to do your search. They are Chinese, from China, with financial and political connections. So if you want to do a search, try doing some search using Chinese language instead.
While you may question the source of fund, I think that may be inferred from the many news reports and the management background thus far. Having links with Jean-Michel Paul, and the political and financial connections in China, one can infer where his source of funds will likely come from (albeit it may not be 100% correct, but the chance is very high).
Talking about the past saga of penny stock crash, I would say it is precisely because of this that there is a lot more potential for SY to rise... The more the layman is scared, it means the more short term speculators will stay out and not create a fanfare like some other penny counters. This builds a strong fundamental for a gradual rise.
Just watch carefully. China and the Chinese are dominating the world gradually. This counter will likely be the same, so play by their game, and forget about the typical rollercoasters of penny stocks you see. The ox year is typically a good year for the stock market in the past few decades, and Chinese believe in it as well.

Yes, the new management wants to diversify the source of income. I also try to understand more abt fund management. Where the fund comes from & go to.....well, not so much info abt it.

Agree, but also have to take into consideration that management has change and owner change also. Take a study into the management and i feel u will have confidence. However with only correctly mention that with past good financial results although not that long since management changed, fund management results are what will add propellants to this counter.... good fundamentals has took place but we also need gd result YOY to see it fly...

Many are weary of LG due to John Soh and penny stock crash.
It will take some convincing to get investors into this.
However, the last 2 quarters have been good and the company has made some progress in turning in profits.
The next 2 quarters will be crucial to see if their plans in diversification into Fund Management bears fruit so that its not over reliant on Gold prices and production.
As usual, fortune favours the brave.

Came across this counter, Shen Yao Holding (Previous name: LionGold).
Not so much information about Shen Yao' s CEO Yao Liang.
Try to search more information & strategy for future growth. However, there is not much information about it too other than gold mining.

Get your popcorn ready. Results released on CNY eve. All these were timed properly. Chinese management is smarter than what many thinks they are capable of. Loading at 0.004 is cheap still. But don' t expect to be able to load at 0.004 already. This is definitely not a local BB from the movements seen so far... If it is not a local BB with so much fanfare like other penny counters, that is great news for a long term uptrend gradually :)
