Last year container shipping contributed $509m while revenue for samudera for the year is $527m. The rest of the segments(like delivering gas, dry bulk etc etc) contributed the remaining.....

FedEx recently warning already telling what is to come for logistics companies..

Samudera main biz is container shipping. Baltic dry index is the rate for shipping raw materials not container shipping...

As for the indexes.... samudera main shipping routes are in southeast Asia. This is where the bulk of their revenue is. Compared to last week, the rates dropped almost 20%.

Feb 2023 for full FY2022 results.
Now no more quarterly results. But can see how well it is doing from updates by Samudera Indonesia parent company, which gets most of its profits from Samudera Shipping.
Expecting update from parent company this month or next.

Samudera has a good very advantance on freight cost because Indonesia is a country with net export of coal and oil palm. Most of the countries around the world import oil palm from Indonesia or Malaysia. Oil palm exporter in Indonesia can use Samudera' s vessel to ship the goods directly to neighbour coutries. If US or Europe countries order oil palm goods from Indonesia, those exporter still need Samudera vessel to ship the goods to major port in Asia like Singapore or Shanghai before these container consolidate by carrier and ship to Western countries.
