Singapore Airlines has sounded a note of optimism, despite the global uncertainty.
It said it has S$10 billion in fixed deposits and another S$3.3 billion in undrawn credit lines to withstand any slowdown in business. These include the potential impact of shifting tariff policies and geopolitical uncertainty.
Still, the firm said the challenges ahead pale in comparison to those it faced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
SIA has announced more than 7.45 months worth of bonuses for its employees amid a record annual profit of S$2.8 billion.

| Basing on the results, some may be in favour to hold for the dividend while some may throw down a bit as the dividend is 8cents lower as compared to last year. When its announced, the SP was 6.88, therefore, we see some drops today and likely following Monday, just my guessing. |

Wait for all analysts to shoot and then we take it from there.

Net profit incl. of non cash accounting gains for FY has increased.
SIA is doing well. Concern is operating profit for 2H fell. Competition is stiff.
But good result overall.

[WASHINGTON] An American Airlines jet' s engine caught fire after it diverted to land in Denver on Thursday, forcing the evacuation of passengers using the plane' s slides, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
American Airlines Flight 1006 from Colorado Springs on a Boeing 737-800 landed in Denver around 5.15 pm local time (2315 GMT), diverting from its planned destination of Dallas after the crew reported engine vibrations, the FAA said.
