Selling pressure is increasing.

The traded volume  at closed is  199.33% higher    average volume of last 260 trading days.  Price down?  U know why.  At the same time short selling volume is  1076.07%  of the average short sell  volume of last 260 trading days.  It seem many still buy?  Not sure what is their plan and I say good luck to them.

beng1102      ( Date: 18-Sep-2025 11:02) Posted:

Volume at less half time is already almost the same as the average volume of last 259 trading days.  Price is down and this further shows selling pressure is high

Yes!    People must be smart enough to avoid this kind of situations.

Basically after a spin-off into Reit, the mother share holders will share the spin off in term of dividends in cash or specie.  Here, 6 months later may and plan with no legally obligated quatmum and value, share holders just got the raw end of the deal..  Therefore, as I earlier pointed out that the share price will crash like it has been doing...  Anyway, it will hit bottom, to pick up for trade.  For those who are long term, good for you, keep for another 6 months.

LHN traded down 2.6% after it announced yesterday that the deal to purchase its share had been called off.

This Co shamelessley dropped 6.2% after it spinned off its assets to the Reits.  Excluding the derivative, it ranks as the top 10 losers in percentage term.

Anyway, waiting for its bottom to nibble.

LHN is also trading down, and they are quite a similar company but with other segments.

The price action is not unique to Centurion.

The market has spoken on Centurion with the share price coming dropping relentlessly despite the good shoeing of CAREIT.
Tired of asking why.

Good luck to investors.

Last I checked, Centurion does not squeeze its customers by overcharging. It is among the first to upgrade their dorms and comply with new standards. They appear to be a key partner of MOM. They launched a REIT and are only charging a fee based on distributions and performance. They don' t seem to be overselling the outlook of the business in their presentations. They have promised a dividend in specie.

Does anyone have any examples of how Centurion has treated stakeholders poorly?

I' m not sure I am so extreme but I agree it is right to be wary. Trust is hard earned.

Even with REITs some are more incentivised to grow AUM rather than returns for investors, but at least you have the comfort about their paying out dividends. In that way at least Centurion REIT is better than the mothership.

With the REIT price holding up in a broader red market, the value of Centurion' s REIT units and cash received from the spin-off is now S$1.51 per share. Some people sold their shares at S$1.55 this morning.

you can run for the exit if you do not beleive in the long term viability of the stock. This drop that occured gave long term investors an option to buy into the weakness. It might b that the shares drop some more, but for me thats another opportunity to add more. I beelive in the logn term prospects of this company. And with the 2 big catalysts on the way, 1) MAS capital injection and 2) money moving from money market to equity as shareholders chase betetr return, the biggest nebeficiary will be companies that have fantastic fundamentals. Centurion is one of the top names.

Those shareholders who continued to hold the shares after the announcement on the REIT, basically saw a capital loss from 1.80 to 1.55.  In short, it is a cash out...run for the exit..

gameover  ..no more new so insider dun need to pump anymore...may keep drifting downward to below $1

They plan to and investors expect to.. in six months.  Unlike the other Reits, the amount and value and whether the Co would pay is not a legally obligated.  If it were so, one could do a Discounted Cash Flow on the value and add to the sinking share price.

Yes, looks like that the reason why Centurion share price cannot move and stay up.
6 months is a long wait in the stock market

not really bro. they will distribute the units as dividends in specie next year because the shareholders retain about 45% of the REIT through centurian share.  I feel the current share price drop in centurian already reflects the anticipated value of the REIT. ITs a bit tricky though. the shareholders wont be rewarded till next 6 months, and thats a long time.

  • CapitaLand & rarr CapitaLand Mall Trust (CMT): CapitaLand distributed CMT units to its shareholders when it carved out malls into a REIT.
  • Frasers Centrepoint & rarr Frasers Hospitality Trust: Frasers distributed stapled securities of the REIT to shareholders.
  • Some other sponsors (e.g., Keppel, Mapletree, Ascendas/SingTel with NetLink Trust): chose combinations of retaining stakes + offering unit allocations, ra0 to ther than full distribution.

Here the shareholders got a kick in the back... of course, we can say one day, the share price will appreciate.  Yes even pennies will appreciate.  But in this trading of the Reit(unless its price tanked) had it been a clear good deal for the shareholder and perceived by the investors as such, its share price should not have fallen from $1.8 to $1.59
