Superb q1 results! Beating all expectations. Even minus the one time gain of 136m the results are still superb. Profits increased across all segments. This will bring up STI today👍

With SIBOR trending up, n if I am not wrong, DBS is a net lender in the interbank mkt.  Their profitability shd be bumped up quite a bit.  So, yes, $25 tp sounds like reasonable to me.

Yes, interest go up by not a lot shld be good in the short term as mortgage which is mostly on floating rate will be more profitable .. I also think $25 is an achievable target for 2015.. Unless something bad happens globally..it's a slow and steady blue chip...some ppl strategy for this stock is to buy and sell.. But if u think this stock going all the way up , then maybe just hold it. by 2016 if the interest rate goes up further it can possibly move >$30...(?)

I thought increase in interest rates tends to help improve banks' net interest margins?  Also, if DBS is a net lender in the interbank mkt, a SIBOR  spike   shd be  positive for them?  For Greece, the govt had made unrealistic election promises (according to former European Commission President Barroso).  So, they must wayang a bit to show they are fighting hard for the people.  In the end, they will have to stand to reason and  come to a win-win  agreement with their creditors.  Perhaps the following BBC article provides a glimpse of reality :

Lagarde welcomes loan payment commitment from Athens
