SSE up 4.90% but HSI gave up all their morning gains to close down 286 points or 1.31%.
Dow futures down 117 points or 0.7%..
Profit taking ongoing as DBS ease to 18.17.. vs day high was 18.45... as investors rather lock in their gains pending future performance.
DBS well supported at 18.31 with Vol of 4.7M.. selling and profit taking well absorbed.
Bets had gone up for a Fed rate hike of 25 bp in October this year as Sep had been ruled out due to the world stock Mkts turmoil. December will too close to the holidays and everyone need money for Xmas and NY. However, as there' s no press meeting arranged for Oct' s Fed meeting, some may think it will more likely happen in Dec.
HSI hit 22,004 intra day... now holding at 21,883 abt 800 points or 3.81%
Huat ahh!
DBS absorbing the profit taking at 18.09... SSE made a remarkable 5.3% rebound back to above 3,083 points and HSI followed with a 21,747 up 667pts or 3.2%.. see if this can be sustained tmr.
Waiting for next opportunity..

Dont ready think amoh   wallstreet are clean ......maybe holiday better choice .... too much charts reading marry go round  ????????????

BUY DBS
Was looking at the TA chart and with today' s gain of 25c, both slow and fat stochs had turned up, RSI is very low below 18%. There are also two down gaps from the selldown from around $19 levels on Fri 21 Aug and Mon 24 Aug which may possibly be covered with a sharp price recovery from current level. With the good news out from China and with a strong rebound in US Mkts tonight, Chinese Mkts should stage a rebound tmr and this stock should stage a comeback..Dyodd.

China just announced interest rate cut and lowered bank reserve.   Effective tomorrow.
Investors around the world are cheering these actions. European Stocks surged 4% higher, while crude bounced more than 3% to climb back near $40 a barrel.
Dow rallied more than 380 points/ 2.42% while Nasdaq is up 134points / 3%.
Bode well for STI opening tmr.

Watching local banks.   DBS is still too expensive to go in for me. Someone said on radio (local stockist, cant remember his name) that DBS has the most exposure to China at 30%, OCBC at 20% and UOB at less than 10%.   The hype about the FED raising interest rates which will benefit DBS most has been overhyped that caused it to gain substantially between OCT 14 to July 15.   Now retracing as foreign investors pull out.
