Singapore ended 2020 with an increase in its bank lending for the second consecutive month in December, thanks to the continued growth in housing loans.

Total loans from the domestic banking unit &ndash which captures lending in all currencies, but mainly reflects Singapore dollar lending &ndash came in at $678.72 billion. This is up 0.3% from the $676.67 billion disbursed in November 2020, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) revealed.

so far MAS has keep quiet on any cap for banks on dividend payout ......even if they open they mouth ....cap could be at 80%

ALL 3 banks are expecting better payout .....LARGE provision set in 2020 are not used .
Better performance QnQ ....esp will higher housing loan in Q4 expected.

Next Wed morning ....DBS WILL SET THE BALL ROLLING w a CNY angpow.
( 25c per qtr ?  up from 18c ....if back to what was in 2019 ....wow DBS could shot up )

DYODD
Happy investing.

This fellow really like UOB out of the 3 banks ....which is also my favourite currently .    I think he under estimated the other 2 / lol

Outlook

Singapore financials are an overweight in the regional context. UOB is MQ&rsquo s top pick among banks.

- MQ has a Neutral rating for DBS with a price target of S$25.80/share
- MQ has a Neutral rating for OCBC with a price target of S$10.44/share
- MQ has an Outperform rating for UOB and has raised the price target from S$26.25/share to S$26.60/share

All 12-month target prices above are based on a price-to-book methodology.
