I have predicted a few months back that after the Player hold prices below 15 cents for extended period, there will be truck loads of retail players queuing to sell when prices go back up to the 16 to 20 cents range.
Judging from reactions of many of the forumers' commentrs here, that seems to be spot on,.
So, I strongly suspect that the Player who has been manipulatinbg SMM' s share price since half a year ago when the rights issue was announced is already net long.
The Player or maybe group of players are holding prices down for longer so they can buy more and also to let all their abang adik exit their shorts and go long as well.
This is only possible when SCI shareholders ex Temasek were given 3 billion free SMM shares.
So now, the stars are aligned for SMM to cheong!
Anyone follows my logic?

Go simply wall st. Not sure how accurate though. The individuals are all related to SMM board or management. Are you one? Hahaha.

Multimillionaire? Yes, just like many many other Singaporeans if you include their properties values.

First, please get the facts right.
Immediately after the demerger, SCI was trading about $1.20 and SMM was trading at about 17 cents. So yes, one would miss the 50% gain. But not much paper loss for SMM based on current price.
Second, I had also said that SCI shareholders were already the winner from the rights issue at the expense of SMM' s minority shareholders who did not subsribe for the rights shares because they were given free SMM shares. Now is an matter of how they can win even more.
Third, my statement about the state of SCI is not invalidated by the current share price, which can trade very far from their fundamental values at times for various reasons. I am sure investors of Hyflux shares and perpetual bonds were quite happy with their returns sometimes in the past as well.
Fourth, your statement is about history with the benefit of hindsight. With the same hindsight, I could also say, on the 26th Oct, SCI was trading at $1.58 and SMM was trading at 12 cents. If one has done the swap then, he would have made 25% more profit. If you follow my posts closely, you might have realised that I started advising SCI shareholders to do the swap trade sometime in October last year. I might be proven wrong eventually, but now is too early for you to make that call.

If one had indeed sold SCI right after demerger to instead buy SMM..He would be knocking his head now..
1. Lost out on SCI's over 50% appreciation
2. Still sitting on a paper loss for SMM
Double whammy..I sure hope you aren't that one

As someone who invested into smm at an average price of .14x..i sure hope smm does well..but there should be a limit to blind faith
You have been saying this since the demerger months ago..I only seen SCI appreciating by over 50%..From 1.10 or so to about 1.8 now..SMM on the other hand is struggling to even get to its rights issue price..That only proves one thing about your theory..
