I guess that, if the reit mgr want to stay as mgr, they and its owner has better be buying in more shares, even as the share price move higher, to increase their percentage holding 😆 . Otherwise they be just sitting duck to be kicked 🚮 out

It's a rare business opportunity for any substantial shareholders (with reit mgt expertise) to takeover the reit mgr function without spending a cent to buy the reit mgr and then buy out the reit at an undervalued price, anywhere below 70¢ 😄

As long as the cash, from the rights issusnce, has not been used to buy the proposed properties, the NAV per unit will include this cash portion and together with existing properties should be MORE than the after transaction pro forma nav per unit of 64¢

This is indeed positive development. I suspect they have been buying since the rights issue period. Or should I say I am curious when they started to get onboard! Having cross 5%, if they continue buying it will be announced thru SGXnet. Holding reduced but still vested.

Since investors intend to kick out the mgr, its make sense for substantial shareholder (who currently own other reit mgr), instead of buying out sabana reit mgr , to spend the money to takeover the reit and then install their mgr to reduce mgt cost
