For those who worried Grab biz model not sustainable and burning cash, Grab just got $2b funding.
The side effect of such a practise will be excess carpark lots. I hope URA is already starting to plan for emptying lots especially in the city area when autonomous becomes mainstream. Office buildings would probably require a much bigger pickup bay - maybe they could designate one part of the parking lot as a pick up point.
Just imagine instead of paying $5-10 per hour at top rated carparks, these cars would be out and about making money for their owners. And when that happens, car ownership will probably no longer be seen as a liability but an asset. Wonder how banks will look at car loans then but I' d expect COEs to shoot thru the roof and fares  to drop to the bottom of the ocean.

I think the Uber/Grab model most efficiently price the service at off peak and peak periods. Imo, the model that is the most flexible will ultimately prevail. What concerns me is when autonomous vehicles become mainstream. Will car owners be allowed to subcon their cars to Uber/Grab after they have reached the office instead of leaving it parked from 9 to 5? And at night when they sleep, their cars are out and about earning surge?

I thk CDG is over sold .....they are doing something/ the cut is rentail of course wil and cld NEVER b too deep.
As CDG has to be profitable.  GRAB and Uber is bleeding....as least we know Uber is in DEEP shit. How long can they conitnue bleeding .
No matter how deep is your pocket....the investor are not stupid.  Further CDG do have other source of income to help out.
Yes, taxi is their main income, but I really dont think its all the bad as what some report wish us to believe. ANyway, coming qtr result and their plan forward might present light to this tunnel |

ComfortDelGro really need to think out from the box for more innovative idea how to attract more driver and passengers .
Your biz which is time for you to grab it or throw it divert towards others biz. The more you drag the more your reputation will gone.
If they keep playing waiting game and monitor see for react. Shareholders will loss confidence.
