more likely should be the terms and conditions of their contract?
pehsei , i maybe paranoid, could it be the main directors( relatives) are offloading their shares and powers to Mr ah Tan because that the company is not making money or make a runaway or something? $14 millions dollars leh......

Majority shareholders of supermarket chain Sheng Siong have made an unusual gift to one of the group's executive directors - 30 million of the company's shares worth almost $14 million.
In a filing to the Singapore Exchange on Friday, the group said that SS Holdings, the largest stakeholder in the company, will transfer 30 million ordinary shares to Mr Tan Ling San, who joined the firm in 2006, as a gift.
This works out to 2.17 per cent of its issued share capital.
SS Holdings is made up of the three Lim brothers - group chief executive Lim Hock Chee, executive chairman Lim Hock Eng and managing director Lim Hock Leng.

Retail sales always have a low margin, even though the standard minimum gross profit of product sales is set at a 30% margin for supermarket-type operations. All about the total SKU (Stock-keeping Units) average per store and volume of sales. Take out staff costs, pilferage, spoilage, distribution and warehousing, big boss income... 90% of a small number is not exciting. just my 2 cents opinion. )

*This year depend how much they can earn for the 90% net profit liao, if not tell their management all go sell backside to increase earning :)
