more likely cdg will give uber a commission % of every trip. seems +ve imo since it will help the drivers.
currently uber takes 20% from their drivers if i' m not wrong.

-ve to the investor as they need to pay $ to get app?!
Heard comfort start cutting rental for i 40 drivers from aug....$6 to $10 per day...or 5 to 8%.. ..
Would ComfortDelGro management goes into exclusive discussions with Uber if it is not to their advantage?
Ask yourself, as a businessman, would you do something that does not bring benefits to yourself? Unless it is a charitable act.
Singapore government always signs deals with foreign countries that bring mutual benefits, not one sided gains.

Remind me of Sadamm and Castro. Lol. CDG will long live. But the price will correct.

I view this positively as its win win situation.
1. CDG driver who if not alrdy using Grab are now officially able to use the appln and drive CDG taxi , hv to be positive as there are an additional channel for income.
2. Grab drivers in fact are at an disadvantage now
Whatever it has to be positive.

I am pretty negative with this piece of news though.   Clearly ' throwing a white towel' news to me.
As the old adage goes
If u cant beat ' em, join ' em.
Tomorrow, comfort will offer me tons of comfort.
Gap up arrrrrrrr

Size do make a different if they use it correctly.
So far CDG is too slow in responding to anything/everything.
I wonder, whether they still have many and confusing charges ?

from another view point. comfort is sharing business with uber.
This will potentially wipe out Grab given CDG's size. Can also tie up on the MRT side with cross discounts for those switching from cab to MRT and buses.
Sounds like a declaration of war against Grab. Congrats in advance to phv and taxi drivers and riders.

Lots of comfort drivers already join grabtaxi......so feel nothing great...lol..see who cheap i take who.....
they forgot to add, in order to co-exist, something have to comprise. Flagdown and booking fees of taxi have to come down == And when it does, taxi drivers will switch to private cars for more flexibility and a private car to use on their own. Rental rates have to reduced for taxi and increase in idle taxis in the yard. Another matter is COE for taxi is only 7 years which the government have to address.
Plenty of work to be done before these two can co-exist peacefully.
Comfort price has to adjust lower to its NAV, else, it doesnt make sense to buy in at this price. $1.50 will be a better price to get excited. Now, better to park all your money in property counters which are well 40% below NAV...

Is this good news?
Drivers would much prefer to drive private cars vs Taxis. Private cars have much more flexibility for both work and play.
Uber taxi = comfort taxi.....lol
