Is Sembcorp Industries Ltd stock A Buy? Several of the signals/indicators are negative, and we believe that this will affect on the development for the next days and maybe possible weeks. However, over time, we think that today's level holds a possible buying opportunity and that the price will be higher during or at the end of this 3-month period with 90% probability of rising to the highest $8.44. (This period will coincide with firstly Alinta Energy Acquisition completion by June 2026 and secondly IPO listing of Indian assets by Aug 2026. AGM is held tomorrow at 2.30pm, and this stock may start roaring loudly)
don' t worry first resistance failed, we have further support.

Holding up well at 6.67
Checkerman, you will be disappointed

MUSCAT, APRIL 25
Singaporean state-owned energy and urban development company Sembcorp Industries has consolidated its presence in Oman's utility services sector, notably by securing a new 10- year Power and Water Purchase Agreement for the Salalah Independent Water and Power Plant (IWPP), starting from April 2027.
The renewed contract, awarded recently by Nama Power and Water Procurement Company (PWP) - the sole national offtaker of power and water
ensures the continued supply of 465 MW of electricity and 15 million imperial gallons of water per day from the integrated, gas-fired complex in Salalah beyond the expiry of the current agreement.
"The renewal reinforces our strong partnership with Nama Power and Water Procurement Company and supports the long-term sustainability of our energy portfolio in the country", the developer said in a statement.
First brought into commercial operation in 2009, Salalah IWPP is currently the largest integrated power and water project in Salalah, providing baseload power and desalinated water to Dhofar Governorate.
The year 2025 also represents a high point in Sembcorp's investment journey in Oman's transition from a predominantly gas-powered power generation sector into a renewables- based sector. The company, in partnership with Jinko Power of China, brought into operation the 588 MWp Manah II Solar Independent Power Project - one of the largest utility- scale solar developments in the Sultanate of Oman. The facility, located in the Wilayat of Manah in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, is among Sembcorp's largest solar assets globally.
Later that year, the partnership of Sembcorp and OQ Alternative Energy was awarded the mandate to implement the 125 MW Dhofar II Wind Power Project under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Nama PWP. Slated for launch in the third quarter of 2027, the project heralds Sembcorp's maiden foray into the wind energy sector in the Middle East.
Taken together, Sembcorp's energy portfolio in the Sultanate of Oman has expanded to around 1.1 gigawatts of capacity, positioning the company as a key partner in the country's lower-
carbon energy transition.
Oman, along with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), represents a strategically important market for the Singaporean firm. Its portfolio in the Middle East comprises renewable energy, gas-fired power and water infrastructure assets, underpinned by long-term contracts that provide stable cash flows and support national energy transition objectives.
Sembcorp operates a diversified 28.5 GW global energy portfolio, which includes a sizable renewables component of 20.4 GW, supported by long-term contracted assets across core markets, including India and the Middle East.

Sembcorp don' t recover better because the war is not getting worst. What is the point of Sembcorp going higher while the Middle East crisis to remain unsolved and escalating?
Biz Times 24 Apr
SINGAPORE] Sembcorp Industries has moved to address shareholders? concerns regarding energy security, stating that its Singapore gas supply remains insulated from the escalating Middle East conflict. In a series of responses to substantial questions ahead of its 28th annual general meeting (AGM), the energy giant on Friday (Apr 24) said that its diversified portfolio of piped natural gas (PNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) from multiple global origins mitigates near-term disruption risks.?In Singapore, our gas supply remains secure with no anticipated disruptions in the near term, underpinned by a diversified portfolio of long-term natural gas supply contracts across both PNG and LNG from multiple global origins,? Sembcorp said.
It added that its upcoming LNG cargo deliveries for 2026 do not originate from the Middle East. Its portfolio in Singapore also includes solar and battery, further diversifying its energy mix.Sembcorp also highlighted a potential silver lining for Sembcorp Power and Senoko Energy.
As its power contracts are largely structured on a cost pass-through basis or supported by hedging, higher feedstock costs are not expected to dent margins significantly.
Instead, ?with wholesale prices having risen, both businesses may stand to benefit from selling excess capacity into the spot market and, if sustained, from improved recontracting economics over time?, the company said.Operational focus and regulatory outlookIn response to a query on whether the company intends to increase its ownership stake in Senoko Energy, Sembcorp clarified it has ?no plans at present? to do so. It currently holds a 50 per cent stake in the energy supplier. ?As a portfolio, Sembcorp will focus on operational synergies and enhancing the efficiency of its Singapore power assets as well as supporting national energy security,? it said.
Separately, addressing fears of windfall taxes ? an issue that has dogged energy firms in the West ? the company stated it does not expect to be affected in Australia or the UK.Its Australian subsidiary Alinta Energy is not involved in gas production or export, exempting it from direct export taxes.?No material impact on Alinta Energy is expected if a gas export tax (were to be) introduced,? it said.In the UK, the government has indicated that it will impose higher windfall taxes on certain older wind, solar and biomass plants that choose not to move onto fixed-priced electricity contracts.Sembcorp clarified that it does not operate wind or solar assets in the UK, and its biomass plant operates under a structured subsidy framework that falls outside current windfall tax thresholds.Board flags dividend confidenceSignalling a bullish outlook for the year ahead, Sembcorp said: ?The higher dividend proposed this year reflects our confidence in the company?s future performance and ability to generate sustainable returns. We will continue to review our dividend policy.?queries regarding the criteria for increasing the dividend payout ratio beyond just cash-flow generation, the board underscored its commitment to long-term sustainability. The company clarified that it adopts a five-year horizon when assessing payouts, factoring in the group?s overall financial position, earnings sustainability and the capital required for organic growth and committed investments. The AGM will be held in a physical format at the Raffles City Convention Centre on Apr 29.Shares of Sembcorp closed 0.6 per cent or S$0.04 lower at S$6.81 on Friday.

Very slow decline to 48.8M shorted shares. Next week will test key resistance level of $7. Successful breakdown above this level will open the road toward new high! Refer to Q&A as announced today on SGC website. This is a great news for investors! Sembcorp may secure a long term income - rental plus share of profit on large high powered land in UK with one or few hyperscalers where there are heavy data centres in response to high AI demand.

Average annual prices of Sembcorp from 2020 to 2025 are $1.71, $1.91, $2.84, $4.69, $5.16 and $6.31 respectively. This means the company must be doing something very right.
Isn't it better for us retail investors, esply long term ones, to be right over years than to be right over days?
& btw, who will take a certain "forecaster" here who's mostly wrong in his daily forecasts seriously? 🃏
SCI went up from $6 mianly because of rising oil / gas prices which will allow it to make more profits. And oil prices even if the war ends tomorrow are expected to remain elevated for one year or more because the damage already done. So very good chance SCI will cross $7 again in the very near future.

Bro Tob231,
With 16ct dividend, nobody wl know whether after XD, wl
price go below $6.50 ?  It may drop less than or more than
16ct and if miraculously turned positive which I' ve seen
it b4 for some other counters .
Question is yr holding cost ?  u hv to decide whether worthwhile
to hold for the dividend or not ..
Fundamentally,, it agurs well for SCI  with the Alinta acqusition,
as it delivers immediate earnings and returns accretion
And gg fwd, both top and bottom line wl be raised including
dividend payout.
Technically, SCI meanwhile  support ard 6.65 and getting
bottomish soon.
Do not feel despair when u are buying a good company
with good earnings and dividend payout .
I wish u good luck and success
Cheerz
