Bro,... you did not make any wrong move. You chose to hold-on to a strong ctr,... a high-cap REIT that will be merging with another high-cap REIT. You had the finance backup, hence, you were able to hold and not sell back then. If you had needed the money, then you would have been forced to sell. So, you had the financial capacity to hold.
If you had decided on the above move onto another ctr, then the decision could have been right or risky. But since you decided on the above with CMT, this decision is less risky.
Some retractions in the unit price do happen.

Wanted to let go 2 weeks back when price for this was 2.2x, could lock in about 20+ cents of profits a share. Hesitated and didn' t do so in the end. Looking at it today, very wrong move I made. The market really doesn' t make sense at all. Price went up prior to phase 2, now phase 2 in place already and this is going lower and lower.
Looks like will have to hold for long term |

When you are trading in shares, remember to take your profits when you make 10% profits. There will always be other shares to trade or you can always buy back later.

Me too stuck... This could be what wall street trader says, "Buy on rumour (b4 phase 2), sell on fact (already phase 2). Hope b4 phase 3 another rumour jump coming 😁

Yeah bro,... tq for your input,.. I agree ! I have held FCT for many years,...
It' s just I' ve decided to reduce my exposure in the SG Retail/Mall space for now,...

other possibilities are people think lower rental in future = lower earnings.  or maybe foreign investors waiting for our elections to end.
FCT and CMT are top of the line in SG retail space.  |

I second this. DTF fathers day or not is dam strong demand one.  Last night I saw F& B going strong.  Even pizza hut also crowded sia... this is like the least popular F& B liao.

On my side,... I have actually been watching this development form the Tenants. Back a few weeks ago, the first reporting came out from one the the major newspapers, but I couldn' t open it because I don' t have the access. Hence,... could not update here.
Then I searched in the SLW SIte and saw that there were some news there, and that ' demands' were to be finalized on a Friday ,..did not follow-up further subsequently,.. till these news today,...
Frankly,.. with all the Temporary Acts,.. something is changing,... But I' m still holding CMT,..
Have divested FCT and part of SPH REIT though,...
Confirm chop la.   Writer also some Tom dick Harry nia

My instincts and observations noticed that Wall St itself has been trying to remain green this whole week. Would touch into the red region on almost everyday of this week before scrapping-out some greens and then managed to exit green. This behaviour is highly unlike the behaviour for past weeks when Wall St would just rise strongly into the green the whole night through.
Sometime in mid-week, POTUS mentioned abt allocating USD1T as infrastructure spendings. This managed to hold-up the mkt only for the same night.
Removed, edited and reinstalled to correct the amount from ' 1M' to USD1T.
