Yes that is a good point. Given the situation KORE found itself in, it did not have any good choices. Cutting dividends entirely is the least worst option (unless shareholders were willing to put a lot more money in). PRIME may have to face the same decision at some point. If so it is better to bite the bullet sooner rather than later.
another point KORE mgt trying to make it that there' s if financing drought for commerical ppty. So instead of selling ppty to bottom fishers, better to ownself repay their debt with reveneue. So if PRIME ignores this fact, it will end up like MUST v. quickly.
they are not in a dire position that they have to cut dividends entirely. but managers are still paid fees in cash and shareholders bear the brunt of course. well, not a kore shareholder anyway

Look at the KORE presentation. They are saying that Prime (and Manulife) is underinvesting with a resulting impact on occupancy.

Depends what you meant by surprise. Will be surprised if they don't suspend distribution like KORe

Do not give up till the final whistle.
It is true that KORE result does not look very favourable for PRIME.For one difference, KORE and MUST is unsecured loans while PRIME is secured.
The worst that can happen is to sell assets at a deep discount. But the shares that you own is a deeper discount to the NAV.
Interest rate is peaking. Definitely, there will be smart buyer fishing them near the all time low.
Patience is the key.
Look at it another way, KORE mgt looks like giving up on refinancing and diverting distribution towards debt repayment until it become available again. Which means to say, if PRIME can' t do the same, it will have to restructure its debt like MUST.
