Barring any surprises (unlikely as mgt will provide profit warning), this is the quarter of the year where Samu will try and test 1.02 again. The problem is always the XD part unless you have deep pockets to get both dividends and capital gain

Strange!  Zero short selling today  Open short position as of 10 Jan 2025 is only  19,500 shares.  I think likely we could see the share price slowly going up to 95cents.

If US places a tariff on Malaysia or Vietnam ( both have huge trade surplus with US) then trade will definitely be affected.

 

Important note is potential change of trading trend from country to country to 
counter impact of Trump trade hike and Asia likely to benefit from it, other than
AI or high tech, but on consumer tech wise, US is completely out in Asia, if you notice,
coming up are Thailand and Vietnam with China, South Korea and Japan as top 3

At this point of time, Interest rate is main driver for most stock taking a hit,
Let' s see what fed provide coming wed meeting. Everytime when they meet market 
usually quite volatile.

 

Tariffs meant products will cost more. If price goes up, demand will reduce....

 

I don' t think Trump wanna reduce trade, he just want more money.
he just hope all country in the world to trade with US " " only" " with so call
Tech control. Don' t think US can survive if they don' t import any food.
Will be good to look at Semudera geographical spread, next is rate
rest is up to individual, hold tight for coming div likely 2 sg cents.
Also Semudera interest earn is higher than interest paid on loan.

 

President Trump inauguration in January 2025 will come with tariffs. Tariffs meant less trade which meant less shipping...

Market is forward looking.... that's why the share price is weak ....if trade is hit hard, share price will fall further
