To each individual' s interpretation. Is the USD4B / USD5B referring to a) the market value for the land bank, or b) the potential sales revenue for development projects which are to be undertaken and spread out over the next one to two decades ?
There is a huge difference for the above 2 interpretations.

I have been reading up more on Banyan Group after my recent purchase. There are a couple of things that comes to my attention after reading their latest annual report. The management in an Edge article in late 2024 mentions the Phuket land is worth USD $4b to 5b. I have decided to do an investigation on their accounting methodology and balance sheet.

There will be a call for tender for the development of the wellness attraction located in Marina South, close to the Marina Barrage, which & ldquo can leverage the waterfront and places of interest in the vicinity& rdquo , said Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, on May 10.
& ldquo With the rising demand for more restorative and wellness-related experiences, we want to position Singapore as an urban wellness haven,& rdquo said Ms Fu, speaking at the Singapore Tourism Board& rsquo s (STB) Tourism Industry Conference at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

I would guess Banyan Tree should test 0.60 within a week and then possibly 0,75. Looks bullish with selling absorbed.

BANYAN TREE has behaved in a manner that I did not expect on Monday. While I was totally convinced that BB were pumping it up to distribute. I am now less certain.
The share seems to be genuinely being bought and any short sellers seem to be absorbed.
It would seem that those who Ï was cynical about, have been pontificating saying that SOMETHING IS BREWING are absolutely right
My desirre to help everyone to not be left with the baby and to protect those who still have profits got the better of me
The accumulation seems genuine and can only [point to one of these possibilities
1. Full take over by other hotel group (eg Marriott)
2. Partial take over by other hotel group (eg Marriott)
3. Delisting and privatization
4. Exceptions reults to be announced early August 2025
5. Realignment due to a full or partial NAV reconsideration
I have zero clue on which but if asked I would think that 3 is most likely followed by 2
