JP Morgan raises CDL' s target price to $8.20, possibility of special dividend
 
" With the majority of the board of directors now aligned with CEO, Sherman Kwek, he is in a better position to streamline CDL and close the discount to book through non-core asset sales.
 
" With ' value unlocking' becoming increasingly important in Singapore, CDL is a beneficiary of such thematic inflows," state the analysts.
 
Year to date, CDL has divested some $1.5 billion worth of assets, including its 50.1% stake in South Beach, which nets the company a gain of $465 million. In contrast, the company had spent just $1.2 billion on land purchases and other investments.
 
Their new target price of $8.20 is based on a lower 35% discount to their estimate of CDL' s RNAV of $12.65 per share, down from 40% applied previously on the slightly lower RNAV per share of $11.85.

hope that you are right that it will raise up soon. still sitting on my ost on this one.
today can see shorts acting on their reits again.
other stock like yzjgh recovering. these shorts no choice but to cover since no easy cover via placement.
hope to see city dev also do some actions on selling etc . also on their related reits.  shorts has no sp much money to cover so many counters in billions.
they buy one sell another to keep their book balance. 
just keep actions on 1 counter and burst them one by one.

By end 2026 this counter will be double digit. any weakness now is opportuntiy to add. There is so much money waiting to come into the market very soon, that they will scoop up good company shares left right and center. Yiou just need to calmly sit through the volatiltiy and if possible add to your postion if you can.

asset a lot is no use. see the chinese property company all asset very think before the crash. when crash they cannot change the asset into cash to pay debt and then they go under and the property price fall and fall with no taker. property is like that must be able to hold then can win.
so the younger boss must change his style. not got about like a gold fish see what eat what. people said good eat.

Expanding into China market is something no one can afford to ignore. However, it should not be done recklessly. With the lessons learned from past experience, they should be going in with eyes wide OPEN. The fact that they return the second time round reflects the ambition of the current management. All these are extremely good news for CDL shareholders.
