JP Morgan takes some profit in AEM Holdings following substantial stake build up

JP Morgan, which has rapidly built a substantial stake in AEM Holdings in a series of transactions since the middle of March, has partially taken profit, as the share price of the chip tester reaches new highs.

On April 29, JP Morgan sold nearly 1.58 million shares for around $8.6 million, which works out to an average of around $5.46 per share. Following which, the US bank is left with around 22.24 million shares, equivalent to 6.99%, down from 7.565%.

The filing for April 29 was disclosed on May 3 and it is not yet clear if JP Morgan has made further transactions since then.

AEM, which closed at $7.35 on April 30, is on a tear following a wave of upgrades by analysts, cheered by how it is both poised to win new orders from its existing key customer and is also well positioned to win significant new orders from other new customers.

JP Morgan first emerged as a substantial shareholder of AEM Holdings on March 16, when filings indicated that it paid $3.35 on average for 555,000 shares, bringing its interest to 5.19%.

Since then, it made a series of trades, at times trimming, but on aggregate increased its position as AEM ran up strongly.

On March 17, JP Morgan sold 910,200 shares at $3.53 each but also bought 22,300 shares via a prime brokerage arrangement.

On March 26, it paid an average of $4.49 each for just over 1.94 million shares but also sold 147,800 shares.

On April 10, it paid an average of $4.69 for another 1,070,900 shares. On April 20, it paid an average of $4.86 for another 115,600 shares.

On May Day, before traveling from the White House to The Villages (a large retirement community in Central Florida) Trump gaggled with the press. In one comment, he spoke enthusiastically about the U.S. government' s (specifically its " sovereign fund" ) investment in Intel, noting it is performing so well that the government already has a $30 billion profit. At first, this seemed like an insignificant remark, but he then added that Intel is on its way to making billions more. This is the third time he has taken the time to mention Intel' s performance. So... let us examine these recent developments regarding the U.S. government' s strategic stake in Intel, the subsequent market surge, and the upcoming results of another tech giant, AMD, and what catalytic developments that these may provide for AEM Holdin\

1. The U.S. Government' s Strategic Stake in Intel
The U.S. administration has moved from being a passive benefactor to a direct partner in the semiconductor industry.
In August 2025, the US government converted  $8.9 billion  in grants into a  9.9% ownership stake  in Intel. With the stock' s recent rally, this investment is now worth over  $40 billion, representing a  $30 billion profit  in under a year.
This move serves as a pilot for a national wealth fund. It gives the government a direct financial and national security interest in ensuring Intel succeeds.
The government also holds warrants to buy another 5% of Intel at a low price ($20), creating even more potential profit for taxpayers.
Intel is now viewed as a vital national asset. The government is no longer just supporting an industry it is managing a multi-billion dollar investment that is too big to fail.

2. Market Momentum: Intel' s Record Highs
Last week' s performance served as a massive confidence boost for both Intel and its supply chain.
Record Breaking: On April 30 and May 1, 2026, Intel shares soared to an all-time high of nearly  $100  following a blockbuster earnings report.
The Catalyst for AEM: As Intel' s key testing partner and a recent winner of the  Intel EPIC Supplier Award
, AEM' s   stock has risen alongside Intel.
As Intel ramps up production at its new Arizona and Ohio factories, AEM gains long-term visibility. More chips produced means more high-tech testing equipment is required from AEM.

3. The Next Catalyst: The AMD Results Factor
While Intel provides the safety net, AMD represents the primary growth engine for AEM' s future.
By the end of 2026, AMD is projected to replace Intel as  AEM' s largest customer. This highlights AEM' s successful shift from being Intel-centric to AI-centric.
Upcoming Results (May 5): Markets expect AMD to report nearly  $9.9 billion  in revenue. Investors are focused on the volume of AMD' s  MI350/MI450 AI accelerators.
Key Benefits for AEM
a)
Higher Profit Margins: AEM typically earns more on the advanced testing tools used for AMD' s AI chips than on older legacy products.
b)
Diversification Success: A strong report from AMD - and its partnerships with giants like  ASE -  validates that AEM is now a global leader in AI testing,  potentially triggering a new wave of orders.

From out of nowhere, without instigation, you came here and made all these sickening comment.......

You talked like as if you are a school master or a grand master, lecturing someone who is a serious long term investor who took the trouble and effort to study the company, and the business inside out.....

You been reading the recent buzz about AEM' s future? ..... From where? From when?

When there was hardly any interest in the stock and price was at rock bottom?.....Or you joined  the hype only when the price started to rally BIG, you don' T want to left out, so you fomo, and start showing off your half past six knowledge of the company......

And you want to separate the factual from speculative hype. How? How you know?

You mean posting transcript from an AGM is speculative? Adding to the mainstream media news and comments are speculative? Commenting on news on partnership, contract wins are speculative? What is speculative to you?

Then you criticise people targeting AEM' s share price.....
Oh, you mean analysts got no business to set $8 target, syndicate players got no right to target $8..... everything must be ' certainty' then you can set target? You mean you send your mother to the hospital only when you know she certain to die? How stupid can you be?

btw, I wonder whether AEM hit $8 last Friday?

But maybe you are right, we shouldn' t   be talking AEM as a $8 stock NOW......We should be talking about it as a $10, or $15 or even a twenty dollar stock......Especially when the non-contract development is already out tonight.......

You take exception of AEM' S bottleneck theory that it is better comparing to IFAST' S platform, mocking it, saying a hardware player is different from service platform , blah blah blah,......(Haha, wait until I iell you below, this guy is a super hypocrite, when he tried to compare HLA and AEM, two complete different situations)..  In the first place, I doubt if you know what' s the relation of bottleneck to AEM and why it was labelled as such.........  At the beginning of the year, IFAST was almost $11, AEM less than $2

Now, what are their prices?..... I rest my case.....

Then you try to take issue of me using ' black market' reference, when I been using this for ages here, and elsewhere all over this forum and nobody complain, but funny thing is you don' t even know me for having the term being used in my posts at all al I see is you are actually making criticism for the sake of criticising.....

this is my space, I started this thread. I provide 90% of the info and comments here..... elsewhere, no body can provide you with that much of info as I do .....no one.... all they do is to talk down the stock or use one liner to run the stock up.
So, what' s your bloody point you trying to make from your comments?...... To make you sound like a guru......no, you actually sounded goondu.......

You see, when you feed info  and data into an AI app, and copy and paste its response,  It doesn' t make you clever, it makes you look stupid......

I have gone into all your messages in this forum, and found out that most were AI generated, and i tell you what.....the comments and posts did not make you look stupid, they make you devoid of a brain.

Take your comment on Hong Leong Asia, (https://www.sharejunction.com/sharejunction/listMemberPosts.htm?username=sfw2124  ) trying to be clever by making a comparison of HLA share placement and AEM rights issue...... Without realising that there is no genetic co-relation to make meaningful comparison......the only similarity is that it is a share placement...... serious investors like us went to AGMs, to be more informative and knowledgeable...... at HLA AGM, we watched the presentation, we read the annual report, we listened to the answers to our queries. I talked to the CEO, the Chairman, directors after the AGM, as many other shareholders, we understand why the company cannot pay out the excess cash hoard they holding and now we understand why the placement was made. It is totally different situation from AEM which is an incentive for  a partnership...... Anyway no point for me to talk so much to a half past six roadside commentator like you

I suggest if next time you want to debate on a topic, go read deeply on the subject first, instead of acting you are so knowledgeable on a company business....... and yes, stop feeding from AI generated response........ Best is don' t open your mouth, if you don' t know the subject at all, especially here........Here is for serious long term investors....... really a DF!

I&rsquo ve been reading the recent buzz on the forum regarding AEM&rsquo s future and the &ldquo $8.00&rdquo price target. I think it&rsquo s useful to separate the factual macro-trends from the speculative hype we see on forums.

What&rsquo s Factual (The Macro-Story):

  • The $7 trillion estimate for global AI data centre investment is consistent with recent industry reports from major research firms. The shift toward AI and HPC is clearly driving massive infrastructure spending, and AEM is certainly positioned within this growth space.

What&rsquo s Speculative (The Hype):

  • The " Bottleneck" Theory:  While AEM provides essential thermal testing solutions, labeling them a " bottleneck" (and inherently more valuable than a platform like iFAST) is a subjective marketing view. Investors should remember that hardware players operate differently than service platforms they face distinct risks like cyclicality and intense competition from global giants like Advantest and Teradyne.

  • The " $8.00" Target:  While some brokerages have recently issued optimistic target prices (some as high as S$10+), these are analyst models based on specific earnings assumptions. They are not market certainties.

  • The " Black Market" Language:  We see a lot of language here designed to create urgency or FOMO (e.g., &ldquo no horse run,&rdquo &ldquo black market secrets&rdquo ). In my view, it&rsquo s safer to ignore the theatrics and focus on the cold hard data&mdash like margin expansion, patent updates, and execution with new customers.

My Takeaway:
The macro-story for AI infrastructure is real, but don' t let the emotional forum hype cloud your due diligence. AEM is an exciting tech-hardware play, but it&rsquo s still subject to the realities of patent litigation and competitive cycles. Focus on the actual quarterly results and the progress of the ASE/AI contract ramp-up rather than the " generation stock" narrative.

DYODD, and trade responsibly.

WOW, so much interest now......

As I said, one of the highlights of the AGM presentation was how the CEO talked enthusiastically about our capture of ASE Technology as a major business partner. Indeed, there were many high profile and global Goliaths vying for the partnership with ASE, but ASE ultimately chose AEM, because they see the great potential in AEM

The ASE Technology  Q1 2026 earnings conference is scheduled for today, Wednesday, 29 April 2026, at 3:00 PM Singapore Time (SGT).

You can join using their Official Webcast (  ASE Investor Events page) to find the direct link for the 2026 Q1 Earnings Conference webcast.

The black market already knew some preliminary data for this quarter, which includes unaudited net revenues of US$5.508 billion for Q1 2026, which was a 17.2% increase year-over-year.

I will try to provide a summary of the key financial figures and  key takeaways as soon as they are posted on the gangsters' notice board.

one last note.... if you find AEM is too pricey and beyond you, go for UMS, yet to really run, easily three soon, could go up to four by mid year but dyodddd please...

It could be Sell on news when its Q1 results are out in May.

Anyway, Miracles do happen as long as the BBs are in control and there is no intervention by SGX to query the meteoric surge in share price in such a short period of time.

Another positive news......

Citigroup lifts AI market forecast to more than US$4.2 trillion.
This is due to faster-than-expected enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence tools for coding and automation
https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/international/global/citigroup-lifts-ai-market-forecast-more-us4-2-trillion

Why this news development matters to AEM and UMS Integration
Citigroup' s upgraded AI market forecast to over US$4.2 trillion directly benefits AEM Holdings and UMS Integration by accelerating demand for hardware testing and production components essential to the AI " Giga Cycle" . AEM is positioned for growth through its specialized System Level Test (SLT) solutions for advanced computing chips, while UMS, as a key supplier to Applied Materials, gains from expanded demand for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

I juz got back from some meetings, so too tired to reply more.... I will respond to those mercenary clowns over the weekend... including one scum who  literally has no balls to talk to my face, but  used AI to help him to suan me and the black market people. There' s another classic golden saying in the Black Market, when positive news keep coming one after another........

" When the God of Fortune keeps coming, leave your door wide open."

===============

The following news article is  highly positive  for semiconductor companies like AEM and UMS, as it confirms that the " AI-led electronics surge" is effectively insulating these firms from broader geopolitical risks for now.

Singapore' s manufacturing output beats forecasts in March. The electronics cluster was a standout performer, surging 30 per cent year on year in March ~ its fastest expansion since late 2024. The cluster' s performance was driven by the infocomms and consumer electronics segment, which jumped 72.1 per cent, and semiconductors, which rose 30.6 per cent.
https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/singapore/singapores-manufacturing-output-beats-forecasts-march-chemicals-decline-signals-emerging-iran-war

Why this news development matters to both AEM and UMS Integration
Singapore' s reported 30.6% surge in semiconductor output, driven by AI demand, indicates a sector-wide upcycle that directly benefits key industry players AEM Holdings and UMS Integration, validating their potential for strong FY 2026 performance, according to analysis in The Business Times. UMS is positioned as a front-end beneficiary due to its ties to major equipment makers, while AEM benefits from increased testing demands for high-performance AI chips.

If the current price action since late Feb is just Wave 1 of the EW five-wave pattern, the upside potential is huge.
Imagine where prices could be by Wave 5. Remember, Waves 2 and 4 are corrective (down), while Waves 1, 3, and 5 are impulse waves (up).
