I' m not hopeful.  Q1 results show a massive drop in profits dragged down by Air India. If there are further negative news from Q2 results, expect a sell down just like what happen after Q1 results annoucement.
SATS is also releasing its result after trading close today. More hopeul on this stock compared to SIA.

Today after trading hours will have the results. Let' s see which direction it will go!
I am trying to deduce from the 1stQ report:
The Group&rsquo s net profit for the quarter declined $266 million (-58.8%) to $186 million. In addition to the lower operating profit, the reduction in net profit was largely attributable to a lower interest income (-$61 million) on the back of lower cash balances and interest rate cuts, and the Group recording a share of losses of associated companies compared to a share of profits for the same quarter last year (-$122 million), notably from Air India&rsquo s financial results which were not part of the Group&rsquo s results for the same quarter last year. The Group started equity accounting for Air India&rsquo s financial performance from December 2024 following the full integration of Vistara into Air India.
The Group remains committed to its multi-hub strategy and its participation in India&rsquo s large and rapidly growing aviation market through its 25.1% shareholding in Air India. Working closely with its long-time partner Tata Sons, the Group will continue to support Air India&rsquo s ongoing transformation journey.

SIA only hold some shares in Air India,,    the damages is " limited " ,,, just like  the damages of the car you owned after accident

Form a Indian Taskforce to investigate it.

Well, you never know the India' s damage can be how deep for now.

Rate cut already confirmed.
Oct n Dec 25 another two as per announced.
SIA prospects look good, $7 coming.
Will be back to & 7.40 before 1H 25 results reporting in Oct 25 with 10 or more-dividends declare.
Stay tune, dyodd

what price target you guys waiting?
Loads of SG companies are now looking at India. Is India really that " investible" ?
under Piyush Gupta bought a bank in India. Is it profitable?
SG looks like slowly withdrawing from China and hop into India .
Hope this would turn out to be a wise move

Quite agreed on this. Why share one quarter of the pie when you have whole.. divestment or injection of fund because ....
If Air India is good, why would they allow SIA to have a 25.1% equity stake.
You see listed company in SGX not doing well during Covid era,  will allow people to have a  big stake in their company moving forward.
If your company is so profitable, would  you  allow someone to have a 25.1% stake

hope the support is strong at $6.8. otherwise after xd will go below $6 .... cham 😩 🤪

What can we said ??? Anyway this thread has sunk to the bottom that I have to revive it.
Thankfully there are still supporters at 6.8 ... maybe for the dividend but i think it is not a good dividend counter.
Might have more downside ... imho

It's the top management behind with hidden agenda to invest in Air India.
Look at the CECA policies and you can understand that.

it is people who make the airline good, you cut salary, all it takes is one disgruntled person for only one second to bring the whole airline down like what u saw
BTW AirI ndia is a disaster from the onset, the culture and image can't compare with SQ. A blackhole. it is a strategic error to close Vistara.

timely to ensure sia value goes back up, and not paying huge bonuses, mgmt should have salries cut 30%at least for poor vision with air india investment still losing 1.6 billion as per the news

Yes.  I think after Ex-D there would be nothing to support buying, so likely to drop even faster after Ex-D.

$0.30 dividend? Is this a dividend trap? Received $0.30 to get stuck? No catalyst to push up price.
If you can afford to hold, then by all means buy, receive $0.30 dividend.
Hopefully the price continue to push up! if not $6.30 after XD is a realistic target 👍 🏼
