Quite alot of Ah Peks here including me..You see, you and ah bear holdings are solid blue chips , especially dbs and ocbc that easily cross millions.
I only holding 2 that is even less than $800,000.
It's time i want to enjoy myself after spending 40+ years working.
The other half maybe split to the children.

Me too ah pek.
I think pass down shares better, if you also educate them on investing.
Because share is something alive, cash is idle. |

Ah bear i entirely agree with you, but i never thought of handing over to my children or grandchildren.
That's why i am thinking to sell all off in 3 years time.
Now i may want to reconsider, maybe i will sell half and the other half pass it to them.
Good advice. Thanks ah bear.🙏

you are so right, newbie19. It takes an ah pek to recognize another.
And why on earth do ah peks hold such traditional shares?
The reason is simple, for hibernating bears other retirement investors, we want to have something to hand to our next generations when we ah peks become ah gongs.
Therefore, stick to those that give steady dividends (ocbc, DBS)or rising dividends (STEng, Singtel, Keppel).

| Bear has HL finance too, but underperforming. Maybe shld switch to OCBC.
I'll let invest share know my top five holdings just as he has done.
Bear is invested in DBS, ST Eng, OCBC, Keppel, Singtel.
What kind of bear is it?
A traditional bear.
You can almost guess his age .. |

I m going to take a season-long snooze. When a bear bear crawls into a cave with a belly full of food ready to sleep through the cold winter, that bear bear is going to hibernate until spring.

| Good point. As i m growing older and retiring soon.
I only keep Keppel and Seatrium for the dividends.
I m very peaceful now not like last time 30+ years ago i already started playing shares.
Until about 6 or 7 years ago i started to sell off slowly all my shares.
Mostly penny stocks and a few blue chips.
I was quite active playing shares especially penny stocks,
and at times you have sleepless nights.
And so no more active in buying shares already..
