Best to stay away from the S Chips  if they qualified they would be listed as A shares, H shares and not S chips.  Based on the number of S chips that collapsed mainly due to frauds and irregularities - best to treat them as non existent.

 

Best to avoid some companies who are not even own by founders or founding members, but corporate management who enriched themselves with big bonuses when companies " turned black" with sovereign fund rescue and retail investors investment through rights issues. 
Be it any chip.. not wise to judge with a sweeping statement. 

This S-chip works on their Chinese government' s projects. If this falls into graveyard, the founders may soon find themselves in the real graves.
